I love this car, but I have to wonder, after swapping in the K series, what's the advantage of this car over a Civic hatch swap?

I don't recall if they ever announced the weight of the car. How much less could it weigh than an early 90's Civic? A quick Google search says they're within about 100lbs of each other. I like the uniqueness of this much more. I'm just trying to find some justification for all of the development of this car other than that.

I think then talk about it in the forst episode of the Kswift, uniqueness is one factor for sure. But i understand what you mean, then again its the love of the game. Try something different instead of what everyone as done already before

It weighs about 1650 lbs with the K swap. Very difficult to get a K-powered Civic that light, but realistically you're way better off building a Civic since it has way more aftermarket support and better options for off-the-shelf suspension and brakes. Kevin is just a diehard Swift guy, so wants to build the fastest Swift out there and a competitive FWD time attack car. It's been a long, hard development process, though!

It was never the original intention to build a K swap Swift, it's just kind of where it's ended up after getting to the end of the road with the Suzuki motors. To start from scratch you are certainly better of with a civic for performance, but I just like Swifts :/

The VDM needs to be in the middle of the car? everything I read about it just said it needs to be mounted at a 90 degree interval but anywhere in the car...? I've seen it mounted in the passenger footwell on the firewall, thats nowhere near the center...

Bob Last You might be talking about the AQ-1 datalogger, which has built-in accelerometers. In that case, it’s true it can be mounted mostly anywhere as long as it’s at relative 90*. The VDM has accelerometers as well as a gyrometer, which works best when mounted centrally in the car. The gyrometers measures rate of pitch/roll/yaw so it makes sense that it should be mounted in the centre of motion.

Your turning in too quick which is unsettling the car on the exit. Try turning in slightly earlier and smoother and you will find the car will fight back a lot less. Love the car it’s so cool

I don't know if you can change it, but I feel that TPS is a bit confusing. At first I thought it was tire pressure, which may just be me being an idiot but I realized shortly after that it's throttle position. Maybe naming it gas or something would make it more evident as to what it is? Obviously not gonna tell you guys how to run your channel though, it's just constructive criticism because I know I'd want the same.
