Can you believe people try to shut this guy down?!
@ammaralhadi84285 жыл бұрын
Of course, they would! The man is preventing them from taking the easy way out! People are afraid to bear the weight of failure for a while, so they tend to avoid responsibility by feeding themselves the belief that they're helpless. And this gives them partial consolation, because then.. it's not them.. the cause is anything but them, and everybody else can do something about it except them, so it's not really their fault. Now this man is telling them 'YOU ARE IN CONTROL! Of yourself, to say the least.' And that injects the sense of responsibility back in them! Because now they're thinking.. 'I CAN do something about it, but I'm not.' It frightens them that they have to make themselves accountable.

Ammar Alhadi I’m starting to come to terms with this now... the motivation to shut out this type of rhetoric is not anger but fear, anger emerges as a result to the threat.

Who are the people trying to take him down ?
@GhostFusiion5 жыл бұрын
People dislike him because of his woefully uninformed political takes, not because of his self-help stuff. People don't have a problem with this guy saying to clean their room. They have a problem with the perversion of that which is 'Sure you might be truly suffering under systemic or economic oppression but the solution to that is simply to clean your room.'

@Bucket with a face on it you and the OP both are on point. It is scary when all around you are sleeping ones who will squash your goodness like you are a bug just because you say something they take as a challenge to their belief system. Hell, I had to suck it up, take it on the chin, and throw my belief system out and start over with things I could find proof of to believe. I too was full of beliefs that were just bullshit. If I can take that kind of a shakeup when I am over half a century old, others can too. It's too dangerous be careful whom you wake.

The first two minutes of his speech are pure gold for me. I've been aware of the challenges I have to face and the topics I have to bring up in conversations for quite some time now. Now it is time for me to act upon my insights about myself. I am literally speaking my being forward. I'm getting my act together slowly but steadily. I started therapy and addressed topics that scare me to death. I booked a stay abroad to toughen myself and get a glimpse of another world. One that has been buried for a lot of years now. Maybe one that brings up joy and hope again. I am feeling slight changes inside of me already. Maybe one day there will be light again. This talk is so brillant and helpful. Probably the best there is. Good luck to all my fellows in misery at setting free the best version of yourself. Good luck to you, whoever you are reading this. Wherever you are now.
