As a person who doesn't have any source to learn korean (expect the internet but most of the time they ask for payment which is not possible for a teen like me) I really want to learn and understand korean , I feel hopeless when I join any bts lives I have absolutely no idea what they are saying . As an army I am interested to learn korean but it would have been better if I had someone to communicate in korean. This video of urs inspired me to learn korean thank you !

You guys can do it!! Something my Korean teacher said when talking about "intense" courses, like, for when you need to learn fast: Try to learn it in the semi-formal/ formal way because it helps you get used to it and you can avoid any slip-ups when talking to anyone else, so you don't accidentally offend someone. Another thing that idk if it will be helpful for you but it helps me: before I fall asleep, I try to remember some of the words I learned that day, even if I don't remember, that is supposed to encourage my brain to retain the words and the meaning faster. ... who knows, sometimes it helps, it might help you Good luck!

To learn a language fast, it's not enough to learn it from apps and books because after a while you'll forget without the chance to practise speaking it. Best way to learn a language faster is when you have someone to practise with everyday and in the right environment. Eg, with a friend who is fluent at it, when you live abroad that forces you to speak the local language or like some international couples, they learn each other's language.

Good job! I’m learning Korean so that I can navigate around the country when I eventually go there for a trip. With my ADHD (and other issues), I find it helps me to say it out loud with hand movements. Then, when I can’t find the word, I use the hand movement and it comes to me. It also helps me to watch tv shows and movies, and isolate words, and try to remember them from scenes that they spoke them quite animatedly. Korean childrens books and shows help as well 😉 They’re there to teach Korean children to speak and read

I really enjoy learning Korean. One of the tips that I do that probably will be helpful for the ones that are at least basic getting to intermediate, it’s to listen to some podcast, Vlogs, K-drama etc.. in Korean and write it down in the same language as the way that YOU hear it. It doesn’t matter if you get a couple of things wrong, because what this would do is to make you get used to the speaking tone and by practicing more and more you will be getting more answers right than wrong. Also I always try to learn the words that will give the sense or complete de sentence such as, Like, How, why, when, however, but, and, besides, between etc... So it’ll be more easy to comprehend the meaning of a sentence, of course, also learning the verbs at the same time for a better understanding. :3

Farina, you will have more fun using those books if you share them with others also who are learning Korean just like you are. You can see their profiles in that book (timestamp 11:48) and they can see your's and you can have fun commenting on each other' and helping each other out. Believe me, learning a language by yourselves, alone when we are adults become boring fast. It makes it easier to learn a language faster if we do it with others who are at the same level as we are.

Been learning Korean for two years now, and I have completed level 2 and 3 of the Korean Language Course at university in Busan but.... still a looong way to go. You are doing great! My only advice would be to actually study beginner grammar (it's a lot, but it is the most used) and especially try to use 존댓말 for everything at first, I worry that all those BTS related sources and books (as amazing as they seem, I'm a fellow Army) are way too informal and just meant for someone who just wants to travel to Korea and be able to say a few short sentences. I'm curious about something tho, in case someone does have those books. Are there "chapters" with the grammar points and filler words that each member uses the most?? That would be very interesting indeed! Jimin for example, it's insane how it seems like he just cannot for the life of him end a sentence without -는 것 같다, or Hobi who constantly uses 사실 as a filler word, then Tae with his most beloved 약간 😂😂 should we suggest them to make such a book? 😂

Once you reach the level of good command of 존댓말, Korean becomes easier to in learning vocabulary than in Western languages, especially in professional fields . I have tried German, French, Spanish, all of which have female words and male words (neutral words added in German) and complicated variations of irregular conjugations of verbs, which is a kind of barrier like 존댓말

I mean Korea is so easy to get by with no communication with staff or anyone. I took a beginner course everyday for korean language which helped...but now I am in the uk again and I feel like i'll be back to square 1 when i return..
