I personally think that this "old" Venge frame design (2011-2015) is much more beautiful and interesting than the current one. It definitely made it a unique bike of its kind and perfectly distinguishable from the others. An icon of contemporary bike-design.

yea 1st gen venge will always hold a strong place in my heart I had 3 of these frames like this and I honestly think this is where trek got the madone idea form it looks identical

Thanks so much :)) yes we’re south Florida like the only thing we have to worry about is a bridge here and there. Which we can go up in the big chainring. All we have here is cross winds :))

Working on campy is no big deal. Campy housing is not necessary. Super cool bike. I have S works venge first year from 2012 with da9000 and enve 6.7. Will hang on my wall as art before I sell it.

@@GCPerformance18 I have the exact same wheeset with Chris King R45 hubs on my red 2016 BMC Teammachine SLR01. I think the 6.7s are perfect for the flats. Top tier wheels on a top tier bike. So in love. Thanks for giving the 6.7 CKs the accolades they deserve.

I have campy chorus and I HATE the thumb shifter. Good thing I’m not a sprinter because it takes some real hand gymnastics to reach the thumb shifter from the drops.
@GCPerformance184 жыл бұрын
Yea honestly it would be impossible to shift gears in the drops lol
@yonglingng56404 жыл бұрын
That's one of my reasons to not like Campy too. They're also hella expensive.

Very cool bike ...! Is that a chain catcher on the front derailleur? Speaking of wars -- could you one day comment on your experience with rim brake pads for carbon wheels? Thanks!
@GCPerformance184 жыл бұрын
Yes it was and also the brake pads work great on carbon clincher. Just make sure there right. I put a pair of enve pads on roval wheels one time and it turned the braking surface yellow so just use the pads usually come with the wheels

I KNOW A GUY WHO LITERALLY PAINTED OVER THIS EXACT MODEL FRAME!!! ENVIRONMENTAL TERRORISM THAT WAS!!! Sure he was rich but he had no clue of the art he was destroying. Whomever painted it over for him should be charged with a crime. The dude is part owner of District Taco, a franchise in the Wash DMV area. Cycling Team name is District Taco.
