The last in the series of videos looking at specific strength for the Javelin Throw. This video looks into the use of barbells to overload some of the specific drills that you may look to incorporate into your training as well as other ancillary exercises which look to connect up critical parts of the kinetic chain, relevant to the sequences of the throw itself.

I really like this video, and how the athletes execute the drills. The emphasis on the deceleration muscles of the back is interesting. The only thing I wouldn't do in coaching beginners is have them do a crawl step in any bounding or running drill.

Hi, i saw your video and i really liked the exercises, but i'd like to know a little bit more about what kind of muscles should I work ? Also, if it's possible to know more drills, some that can be done in solo. What kind of tips can you give to perform better. Thank you

These exercises can be transfered into fast for bowling for cricketers how?.When looking closely at the athlete movement before the javlin is released there is a resemblance to the fast bowler getting into position to release the ball.I am not a bowling coach for cricket but i think understanding human movement is a great way to develop athletes education is important to understand the dynamics in coaching.

The throwing balls vary in weights from 600g up to 2kg

Can i know what is the name of the ball.

Shibam Sarkar it’s just a standard Swiss ball/ stability ball. You can purchase them in most fitness superstores online
