Part of me wonders if they'll find a way to intertwine some Hydaelyn and Zodiark mechanics into the fight, remembering of course that Ryne is the oracle of light, and one of Hydaelyn's conduits, and Loghrif herself was originally meant to be the one sacrificed to become Zodiark's heart, rather than Elidibus.

I am estimating at 80% certainty that FateBreaker is included as the 2nd phase in this ultimate. The legendary beast ost just slaps so hard. Going off the Ultimecia final boss fight in FF8 the phases go Sorceress > Greiver (GF) > Junctioned GF > Ultimecia. I've anticipated an Ultimecia Ultimate since E12s (RIP Kefka Ult) & I think they would do this concept justice by going from Shiva > Fatebreaker > Eden Promise > Ultimecia > Double Oracle ( fantastic idea btw super cool concept ).

I'd love to see something like an "Ultimate Relativity" that silently records player positions from the early mechanics, forcing an extra hidden layer of complexity on the beginning of the fight - kinda like uwu. It's something that feels like it can only be done in an ultimate, and this feels like a perfect way to do it. I'd also love to see some shadowkeeper mechanics and maybe the cloud of darkness pvp floor come up - Promise was my first tier, and I kinda miss it in a way.

I like the idea of some cool synergy mechanic between elements. I'm sure we'll get something involving light and dark but what if it was just all eight of them. Like fire vs ice, Earth vs Wind and so on. Have specific little jobs for each of the raid members to counter an element depending on which buff they have.

I feel the final phase will be something like... The Oracle of Antipode where Ryne and Gaia have an Ascian Prime type fusion in their Shiva (Oracle of Light) and Oracle of Dark forms. Not exactly split down the middle... Maybe more Gogeta/Vejito style. Using some of your ideas, Haps, I feel like the order is Eden (Door) > Eden (Promise) > Memories lead to Shiva fight > Oracle of Dark fight > Final Phase, with room to slip Fatebreaker in either after Eden Door or during the Memories.

The one thing i'm really looking forward to is hearing Return to Oblivion while progging, i'm actually kinda hoping to hear it even as the final phase climax although they don't usually do that.

I lowkey theory crafted it cause I agree that the name is the biggest key. I think it will be 6-7 phases, maybe a half phase like Rewind. I think it will start either with Eden Prime OR Voidwalker. Once you beat them I think it would then go to weirdly, Idol of Darkness aka E7, corrupting Gaia and then you fight just the Oracle of Darkness for P3. P4 I think could be rewind esc phase with memories because I do think that will be referenced and you either need to destroy and or protect memories of Ryne AND Mitrion. Whatever memory “prevails” you fight Oracle of Light and Dark if it’s Ryne, and then Eden’s Promise if it’s with Mitrion, with the Memory phase coming back after the first one and you need to do the opposite. Once both phases are done you fight Paradise, which is an amalgamation of Gaia and the person she once loved as Loghriff, and the person she loves now as Gaia. Being Mitrion and Ryne respectively. This I’d think will be a pretty unique phase mechanically with them not having a lot of mechanics from the existing raid series. So Phases would be written out and simplified 1 - Eden Prime/Voidwalker -> 2 - Idol -> 3 Memories Part 1 -> 4 - Double Oracles/Eden’s Promise -> Memories Part 2 -> 5 - Whatever wasn’t done between Oracle/Promise -> 6 Paradise

It'll be a 25 minute long fight, during the entire fight you have to pass and maintain 7 debuffs (with no overlapping!), and at the end of the fight you instantly die, forcing you to go back and get primal awakening in every phase, so you can healer LB twice (to prevent no healer runs obviously). Oh, and the puzzle mechanic is even more obscure than Enigma Codex. Have fun!

Something I really wish to see would be an Eden's Promise phase where it simply summons, say Fatebreaker and Shiva for example, and throw their respective mechanics out that you have to deal with, similar to what Alexander did with Cruise Chaser and Brute Justice... all in all there's so many possibilities and things you can do with Eden that I'm REALLY looking forward to!

Although I only have two raid tiers under my belt, Eden to me stood out as by far my favourite with how enjoyable the mechanics are, the aesthetics of the raid, and just in general. I'm doing this Ultimate no matter what, fully expecting the prog to kill me. As for what I want, rather than expect: I'd love this to be a relatively short, but incredibly mechanically intense ultimate. Like only 3-4 phases but the phases are LONG and there is no break peddle. There are so many mechanics in Eden where you could pretty much stick any two of them together and make a complex mechanic. The personal setup for me would be Shiva, both Oracles, then Eden's Promise, and maybe "Ultimecia" for the victory lap after we repair their memories. But truly anything can happen in this ultimate, and anything will probably be loved, I am so excited for it.

Over the past 2 months, ive been designing my own eden ultimate, focusing on the restoration of eden, eventually combinating in the struggle of light and dark. My current boss order is Eden Prime(als) > Shiva > Oracles of light and darkness > Artemis, seat of Mitron. The secret solving mechanic is semi persistant throughout the first 3 phases of the fight. For eden prime, a mix of umbral primals and astral primal mechanics afflict players with stacks of elemental debuffs, with players eventually aiming to have equal quantities of all of them. The mechanics when solved naturally result in nearly equal quantities, so you have to do stuff such as 1 tank stand in 2 weight of the lands. One interesting mechaic i designed with this phase is the incorperation of cast/release from e12. The boss will cast ramuh, garuda, and ifrit at the same time. This normally covers the whole arena, but by being selective where you stand, you can get hit by 1 or 2 primals, and balance your aether that way. Shiva is the final elemental phase, with all your typical shiva stuff. At the end, players will realise they have far too many umbral ice stacks. When shiva freezes herself in ice and attempts to bring forth a flood of light, the additional stacks of umbral ice are converted to umbral light. Gaia, then comes in to save ryne, but she is unsucessful. She then begins to tap more and more of her powera as an ascian, eventually reaching a point where she becomes loghrif. Queue oracle of light and darkness phase. Past this bit for me is speculation but i want to incorperate overcomming the light stacks using gaia mechaics. Ryne will be pernamently in her oracle of light form for this phase fyi. No ice, hraesvelgr, or transformations.

It's so weird seeing old footage in this video because you look SO DIFFERENT NOW! You actually looked so much older in this footage that it threw my mind off for a second. I am, however, curious if you know the role you'll be playing for this next Ultimate already if you're raiding with the same group or if that is something that'll be up in the air until after 7.0? I've just seen you on Dancer for so many tiers now that it'd be cool to have more footage of you playing other roles to show off on the channel. I know you went Monk for a while in Endwalker and that was a really cool throwback but I'd personally selfishly love to see you doing this content on jobs that you don't normally showcase i.e. really any of the newer jobs launched since 6.0.

Idk I think with the whole future's rewritten thing, this could very well be a super imposed what if scenario that completely changes the whole eden tier. What if mitron never became eden, if loghriff never lost her memories, if the warrior's of darkness and minfiia never weren't there to stop the ascians from rejoining the 1st, which is the main premise of this raid series is that mitron failed and became eden and attempted throughout the whole time to wake up loghriff etc. I really think they could go into this type of thing "future's rewritten". It still would deal with a rewind scenario which could be memed on a bit since DSR had that same thing, but gaia did that stuff well before DSR was a thing, her whole ability was manipulating time. So there's not much stopping them from doing this, if she wasn't stopped and rewound time ultimecia style and re-implanted her memories in her previous self and was able to stop the thing we were able to do and was able to follow through with rejoining the 1st.

Even though my first ever ultimate was ultima and it took about a week from learning to killing, I felt like could have cried after killing it. And the clears I have had after that felt just as awesome. As soon as I see annihilation and the boom afterwards is done my heart starts racing because even though primal roulette is easy, it can still be a killer. From not being sure of my skill level to having killed one of the hardest fights probably in existence has boosted my love for the game Even more and now I want to experience the other extremes as well

I think we may see a revamped story of Gaia for the ultimate Phase 1: Voidwalker Phase 2: Idol Phase 3: Shadowkeeper Phase 4: Eden Promise (Eden Promise pulls the Shiva memory to overtake Ryne again for trainsition to phase 5) Phase 5: Oracle of Light + Oracle of Darkness with Eden Promise in background (trio phase) Unique Boss(Phase 6): Oracle of Light and Darkness(fusion of Gaia and Ryne using the scene near end of raid storyline where the two girls touch hands and a bright light happens as transition) That’s my theory atm

I have the highest expectations of this ultimate for just one reason. It is the first ultimate, whose original content was entirely developed after ultimates had become part of the game, and the devs knew it's a type of content that works and people love. So during edens development, they had the possibility to ask themselves during every fights design "and how would we implement this into ultimate". Meaning this time they might not have to look back at pre ultimate content and guess how they could stick it together, but instead already have a plan on how to do it since 3-4 years ago.

I hope they focus on the junction mechanics from Eden's Promise to the point that either it can summon entire bosses instead of just using their magic (because, you know, you could also summon junctioned G.F.s in FF8) and/or you gotta destroy the memory crystals of those bosses to weaken Eden's Promise and to do that you enter the memory itself and fight the boss within! 😯

I am the Lorax who speaks for the trees.... I mean, I'm the fanboy who says, "do the four lords". I've got good ideas of how it could go, building stacks on them, working the stacks off, and making sure they hit themselves often enough to HEAL THEMSELVES. Even then though, that's just UwU done another way with different targets and slightly different primals that have to be charged up. It really isn't new, is it? So, while I'm sad the 4 lords are being skipped (though maybe not forever), I take this as a challenge to come up with a better idea.

100% getting Ultimecia because you gotta remember, FF8 SPOILERS: Ultimecias final form is a corrupt time compressed sorceress who is.... drawing magic from herself, mainly Apocalypse. Ultimecia is actually dangling below her final form all decrepit and gaunt. Oracle of darkness could 100% forget all her memories, get all corrupt and draw magic from the Oracle of Light, Ryne.

I hoped the primal combos would go crazy in e12s and was kind of disappointed that they were so tame (a couple miniphases, sure, but the combos were pretty much the same as normal, just with a memory and timed component). The raised floor puzzles from e4s would also be a fantastic starting point for some mechanics. No need to limit it to 2x2 areas and 2 heights. The real kicker would be if they went the extra mile and made the game capable of doing relativity justice with some time-based mechanics. Imagine something affecting your movement speed, conceptually moving within a magnitude of the speed of light, and while you're moving with that, you see everyone and everything else slow down and your buff/debuff timers slow down. Or similar with how close you are to a massive object on the field. Then you need to have different people actually play with time dilation to resolve mechanics. There's room for length contraction to fit into that as well, but it would probably have to be more of an "it doesn't work like that, but this is cool so I'll let it slide".

I want to load into the arena and have all 8 elements present. we get eden for light because ryne can't be in 2 places at once. and cloud of darkness of course. just have them all their and edens promise traps them in crystals and as we battle it we have to break the crystals to stop mechanics from happening. but you have to break them at specific points for max effect or to cause something specific to happen. like when it junctions shiva we get a stacking deep freeze and we need to crack ifrit to warm up. or like we she junctions levi and ramuh at the same time and we need to break titan to create platforms to stand on and avoid the shock. break garuda to put out fires, or maybe levi.

My first and only ultimate cleared is DSR and it unfortunately killed any willpower I can muster for future ultimates As much as I would like to do another launch ultimate, I’m just not mentally prepared for the stress of it all again. Hard doesn’t always equal fun, as was the case for me in DSR. I do hope this one isn’t as brutal, or at the least, doesn’t require poorly designed “body check” mechanics.
