This video was MUCH more helpful than the worthless installation instructions that came with the SpeedFeed. After watching this it took me 10 minutes to complete the job and so far, the initial test run went great. And contrary to other comments, the line flowed right through to the other side. So far I'm very pleased.

Love this head. I run it on all my trimmers in my company. Really easy to train newly hired guys on how to reload it. One of the best products. I love shindaiwa!!!

I bought the 450 for my Stihl FS90R and absolutely love it! It's fast loading and always feeds perfectly without jamming. By far the best trimmer head I've ever used.

Thank you for mentioning the acceptable lenght of string 24' for 450 and 12' for 350. I have the 450 and it is a major labor saver. Sometimes the string breaks off inside the head which is my only semi-complaint. The string breaks off inside of most heads.

@AsianInvasion904 the model #450 head is part #78890-21001. Punch that number into the "Parts Finder" on our site and it will take you right to the screen where you can order. Let me know if you need any additional help and thanks for watching. -Mark

One of my best purchases of the year the Speed Feed 375, I'm planning to buy one for a McCulloch brushcutter I use at work, the head on it is simply useless.

I have one of the Shindaiwa speed feed heads which has jammed the removable spool. It is jammed up on the thread adapter cam. I cannot get it off at all. Does anyone have advice on removing this. I have tried everything to get if off of the adapter cam, short of hitting it with a hammer.

Hi, where can I get the black plastic "donut" adapter shown with the adapters at 2:20? I got one once from my local dealer for my Stihl FS130 so I could do a Shindaiwa head but they don't seem to be able to find them anymore. Let me know, Thanks!

Hi Donald, unfortunately at this time we are unable to offer technical support. I would suggest contacting the manufacture for further information. I sincerely apologize.

Conner Bulter, I don't know if you will see this but you do not have an option for a replies on your comment so I will just post the answer here. The the straight shaft trimmers spin opposite of the curved shaft trimmers. It sounds like the head you ordered is for the other machine. Part number for the 400 Speed Feed Head is 99944200907. This is for the curved shaft trimmer. The part number for the trimmer head on the straight shaft trimmer is 78890-30000. BTW, I have one of these on my trimmer and love it.

that looked so easy when you put that little tool in the hole and turned the old head and it just came right off, I have the same little hole turned to head the same direction nothing I put my channel locks on it, they lock on it nothing, put a pipe wrench on it turned the same direction, broke off the little tool in the hole.... wouldn't budge, looks easy
