Thing I like about elkshape is Dan seems like a normal dude just like one of the hunting buddies. Some of the other KZbinrs give off a persona of it’s more of a business than hunting. Keep the main thing the main thing… killing shit.

Here's a tip and hopefully it holds true for you as well. I was doing some battery testing and I put the good expensive energizer rechargeable batteries in one camera and energizer lithium batteries in one right next to it taking the same pics and the rechargeable batteries lasted through 2 1/2 sets of the lithiums. Have been using energizer rechargeables ever sence with zero issues. Have yet to pick up a camera with dead batteries. Try it out!

I've had antelope matrix dodge arrows so many times. This year the terrian worked out and snuck in close, shooting broadside at his left side, the arrow entered the right side of his spine and exited low. Still got all lungs, but he had to of jumped the string and dropped angle toward me for that angle to happen 😂

No doubt.. antelope live in the Matrix!

I love your channel and look forward to every post. Please don’t take this as anything but another viewpoint. While I totally understand the concern of getting bit by a rattlesnake, as hunters we are custodians of the natural world and often face scrutiny from those who would like to take away out rights. Image can be everything. Like all creatures in nature and love them or not, snakes do fill an important role in the ecosystem. We should be custodians of all nature. Maybe I am crazy, feel free to tell me if I am.
@nathanmccutchen52722 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree. Love the channel but it makes me cringe seeing outdoorsman who supposedly love nature killing snakes.

Elk opening weekend was this past weekend for me. I got within 20 yards of a 6 point and 30 yards of a 4 point. Just didn’t have a clear shot 🥲

Great way to plan a trip to go scouting o and shoot a antelope. Good luck this season. Heading out west September 1st for 2 weeks. Hopefully we connect.

Awesome combo video with you guys. Talk about a Public Land Hustle chasing those speed goats 🐐 and then scouting for some nice elk. Enough for the whole crew. 🏹🥩 It’s always good to double up on your day and make the most of your time, by hunting pronghorn and scouting for elk. I try to do the same thing with turkey 🦃 hunting in the spring and checking areas for whitetail deer 🦌 in the fall.

Very nice! I really thought I was the only one to purposely hunt elk from trees. It's worked very well for me.

Nice on the s&s antelope, that's a difficult feat. Not so impressed at killing any rattlesnake unlucky enough to alert you to its presence because it didn't want to be stepped on either.

Great video, I need to make a trip out west to hunt both animals. Can't find them in Philly. Well elk is in PA but a lottery system to hunt them.

Congrats on your hunt. Archery Antelope is the tag I keep getting passed on. Also, just a heads-up if you didn't already know, Arizona's trail cam law went into effect on Jan 1st 2022 (R12-4-303.A.5). Think you mentioned you had a late season tag, though that may have also been an old video, been binge watching your channel lately.

Awesome video! I think i've come to the realization of why i'm not in a hurry to hunt in Ontario. There is a relative lack of openness that makes Spot and Stalk so much harder to pull off. Sitting in a blind/stand is not really what i want to do when hunting. Nice Antelope! and good luck on the elk hunts!

not sure whats wrong with gas leaking all over hot surfaces 0o. fried snake is pretty tasty if youve never tried it. i mean a snake is basically one giant muscle. congrats on the antelope, cant wait to see the elk footage!

Just curious, what's with the hate on atv's? Is it just because less people use dirt bikes so if atv's aren't allowed, less chance of other hunters putting pressure on the area?
@ElkShape2 жыл бұрын
No hate.. just able to use dirt bikes on more single track in our hood

Great video, really enjoyed hearing your thoughts and game plan. Question, when you missed the antelope, did you reuse the arrow or did you use a new one? Great hunt, and good filling the tag.

Nice video man. Call me a safety sally, but I've seen too many guys come into the ER with brain injuries to not mention that you guys should wear helmets. It's sad to see young healthy men's lives derailed from something so easily preventable.

Do the next hunter a favor, and kill those rattlers! Only people that say they're endangered, are the ones that don't actually hike the wilderness off a trail. They're everywhere, and nice stone throw👌
