Speed Level Design - Winter Scene - Unreal Engine 4

A lightly detailed scene that focuses on high detailed models and minimal post processing effects. The winter foliage was created by Evermotion. You can visit the following link to the model pack I used. goo.gl/Tg0s4z
I really enjoyed putting this scene together but I wasn't even able to capture a fraction of what I wanted due to my computer specs being limited at the moment when using cinematic materials. I will be upgrading soon and so will the quality of these videos.
Other models were created Epic games and one from Turbo Squid.
All videos are recorded in 60fps so use the slow motion tool to play the video in close to real time if you need to.

+ChunkyChopsable I actually did add wind effects, they were very subtle and the reason I didn't make heavy wind is because I would not be able to justify having the melted water near the fence.

just started playing around with the unreal engine 7.8 i love it so easy to put up a setting compare to blender but i still need to make my own meshes with blender to transfer them to the Unreal engine , but having alot of fun with it , great video!

HunterDS21 just lets plays I would like to do more winter scenes. They are easy to achieve because they don't require a large color variation but still look beautiful. I'll look to do another one eventually.

I don't think he is using a character, you can either just use a single camera without gravity or just run the game in simulate mode so there is no character.

***** Ah okay. I use Unity at the moment and was wondering how UE4 handles reflections because they looked beautiful. Wasn't 100% sure if it was SSR as it almost looked like you could see the underside of the tree foliage, which of course wouldn't be possible with a screen space solution.

As an environmental artist that has to make all these assets and place them into the scene. I'm not sure how I feel about this... Very nice models from evermotion and the shader work is pretty nice also. But I'm not sure having a skill for placing things is really the biggest part of the creation process. As creating all the actual things you put in the world takes an outstanding amount of time and work in comparison. I would put it in the same tier as using a console level creator ie: forge in halo or far cry level editor.
