I would suggest building up to 40 yard dashes with the bands. Work on explosive starts with the bands and ten to fifteen yard burst sprints to build hip flexor, hamstring, and glute strength. Often times athletes that run long distances with the bands become fatigued leading to improper running form. Short burst sprints are the way to go.

These bands are great for soccer and training any athlete for that matter. They build muscle and explosiveness in your hips and core.
