My dad is a long-time speedball user, he's in his 80s. We tried getting him help for years. Last time he was in rehab, his counselor said he was the oldest drug addict he ever had. And he said the only way he'll stop is that if he dies. At this point I don't care, if he dies, I'm not going to his funeral.

Addiction must be one of the most difficult things to treat, I started using in heroin my late teens and for whatever reason was using for around 45 years with at least 10 also on either Methadone or Subutex. One morning out of the blue, I must have been 62, I woke up and feeling good one morning I had this niggling feeling that I just couldn’t put my finger on but somehow something had changed big time. Not a clue what, where , when or why but something in the great order of things was different. After about half an hour of meditation it dawned on me what was happening. The whole “Heroin” thing, I am talking from the initial ideation, the conceptionalising to the self justification….. the whole thing had run its course and now was gone from my being. There is no answer on fixing this issue because it every case is unique. Definitely a journey

Unfortunately my brother was a poly substance abuser. Methamphetamine and heroin. There's a myth that heroin is not hard on your body because there's hardly no cut in it. It's more natural, which is a lie. Unfortunately I lost my brother to cirrhosis of the liver and he was only 42 years old. I wish there was help for him that could of saved him but addiction is a vice you pay dearly for. Great video Dr. B...👌🤗

While cocaine doesn't directly cause respiratory depression, it can do so indirectly. This is because the cocaine increase the heartrate, which causes the body to need more oxygen. The need for more oxygen (caused by the cocaine), in combination with the slowed breathing (caused by the heroin/fentanyl)can lead to potentially fatal respiratory depression.

I've done both. The comparison in terms of the effect is shaky. The speedball is utter peace and Euphoria. Goofballs are more "contradictory" - like they are fighting it out for dominance in the brain.

The first time I ever tried heroin was when I trying to find some cocaine and the dealer only had enough for 2 points of coke, so for 40 dollars we also go 2 points of heroin and we ended up doing both when we got back from getting them. I don't recommend anyone try that who hasn't. With a low opium tolerance, all I did was projectile vomit all night

We did cpr until the police arrived and one officer was an emt, so they took over. And kind of kicked us out. I haven't told this anywhere and it's much longer. @@matthewjdouglas6471 thank you, Mark. We found out (after the autopsy) that she had eaten it. So, she did it on purpose. She even had a lanyard laying on the steps to make it look like she had injected. That's why nothing we did worked. Chest compressions etc....the officers gave her Narcan, the ED doctor did everything, even epi to the heart. He worked for 50 minutes! She was already gone and that is what she had wanted for years. It's certainly not what we wanted. But, she made that choice a long time ago. I am at peace now, but it took over 2 1/2 years! 😊✌❤🙏

the feeling is sow intense in one word simple,i was mix kokaine with heroin.after bup saved my life i am clean for 3 years,in the start of recevory buprenorpine literaly saved my life,i was 2 years in bup and i have normal life without any problem adreees to relapse,after two years i feel great and i taking so minimal dose of bup 1 mg at day and i decide to move bup.not to much problem with withdrawal now is past 3 years plus 2 years on bup on my recovery. dr.b you are great man i wish you all the best.regards from Croatia(europe).

Thank you for the information you have provided. I don't know too much about opiates except for they are highly addictive and deadly. A friend of mine does meth and recently started light use of heroin. My friend shared with me that while doing what she thought was heroin was actually fentanyl or a mix of the two. My friend lost consciousness, stopped breathing, and CPR was performed until she was breathing again. They had to repeat CPR for the next few hours. Thank God she had people there who truly cared about her. About a week later I got a phone call at 12:39am on a Sunday night and I was informed that our friend died that night. She was doing the same thing she did a week before except this time the people with her never tried to help her or get help. They let her die and then let her lay there for five to five and a half hours. The homeowner said she didn't want to use her phone to call for help because she didn't want her phone number associated with an emergency call. The pain and anger I feel are beyond imagination. They are investigating.

Really hard habits to quit from i must say. I sometimes mix speed and coke with benzodiazepines and alcohol and this has probably around the same effect. For me it's the end that makes me crazy, my brain keeps telling me take more to keep the high, while after i've slept i'm like wtf have i done, really weird shit.

When done right it is a beautiful combination! Don't get me wrong, can be self-destructive as hell and because of prohibition you are playing russian roulette with your life. I would advise against using crack and H. You need vit C or citric acid to breakdown the C. Coke and #4 can be just a beautiful combo. They really compliment eachother. As with tolerance when you try a speedball its like having no tolerance again. You feel it in your legs 1st and then it flows up. It's beautiful. Definitely start small, too much of 1 or the other can be a really negative experience. Also push slowly, 0.1 every 10 - 15 seconds. Stop whenever if you're where you want to be or too far. Definitely not advocating this stuff. Hopefully no one ever feels the need to. Society makes it 99 times more dangerous than it needs to be. Drugs aren't as safe as they can be, yet. Be safe. And you ask why? Why do i do it. Why do i do anything. My life is a mystery to me. Without narcotics I'm either overwhelmed with anxiety or paralysed with depression. Sleeping 20 hours a day. These things allow me to function. I'm by no means functioning as well as I'd wish to be. My lifes just a consequence of choices and experiences that I've interpreted differently from how you (anyone) would. I've shaped myself/ been shaped and its all led to here. All the above reasons are relevant too. It's not an excuse for me though. I chose this. I knew it would lead to addiction and i embraced that. If i could do over would i do it differently? I'd definitely try. We all change as we age. I rushed life a little bit. Anyway must go. Hope everyone is well and heading in more positive directions with their lives!

Goofballing is the shit but it sucks ass if you get the mix wrong. I preferred mixing it so my shots were 50/50, but usually I'd add a bit more dark or fent with that after it was already good to go just because i was worried about doing more meth than would be comfortable. At the middle to the tail end of my needle usage, i was doing crazy shots and twice as much meth as i already was doing, i was mixing in liquid bromazepam or clonazolam concentrated solution on the tail end of my shots, usually because i was too spun to be a person by then, but never would i mix them in with benzos before the meth, for some reason. If you get the ratio of all three perfect, it is the ultimate goofball experience, and i personally think it makes them slightly easier on the heart but I'm probably mistaken saying that. But, the trifecta is the only time I've seen somebody spontaneously orgasm as they're getting their bell rung
