Honestly this game would NOT work without Kim. Everyone I've ever talked to about this game loves Kim, and says that they didn't want to dissapoint him. The game is partly about people needing to move on from their pain and their pasts, everyone in Martinaise is scarred by their history, the streets itself still scarred by the revolution. Having Kim there judging you is an execellent way to make the player WANT to do better, to be better, to fit into the game's theme.

Flaws and quirks and a personality like 90 percent of people like Then they use game mechanics and dialogue to make you the player connect with Kim. Humanising him. you have to fail twice when inspecting the feld mural, which prompts the shivers white checks, which is BEFORE you climb the ladder and open the door. Gotta try again on an earlier save or another playthrough.
