Actually jet engines use kerosene wich is close to diesel fuel ) You can fill diesel car with kerosene adding some (1/40) motor oil. Jet engine can work on every flamable liquid.

The Plane creator added a lot of fumes, this will now be fixed in X Plane 11 1.30 Particle system update, engines will be much better at dispersing fumes and heat, also new engine fires!

i7 3770k (the strongest of 2012) after upgraded from old i7 2600k2(standard powerful processor) with a gtx 970 3.5g GPU memory in performance (out of 4 giga becuase of vram structural fail - bad GPU on the contruction line\ on dmand...) and stil low fps with the new beta, yes they probably gqave the GPU stupidly more control over the simulator unlike letting us choose or make a dynamic use of resources or badly objects \ plugins or some sort of cocktail of both :)

If you wanna run the game smoothly you need a big video ram, at least a graphic card with 8GB to be comfortable... I got a 4GB graphic card and that's my only issue

get landing speed addon so that you can improve your flying and landings. I also plan to get 1070 i think it would be bang for buck compared to 1080 which would be overkill for single monitor setups

try to stay on the centreline at all times while on ground, it's there for safety purposes, otherwise it wouldn't be needed. what was that black smoke from the engines? reverses don't do this, that was totally unnecessary! nice flight, after all!

x-plane graphics still have a VERY long way from being "good" Even under ULTRA Details! The sky looks almost acceptable, but the ground graphics are horrendous!

I apologise, I'm just so saddened that it isn't better. I've tried xplane through various incarnations and I always hope they'll reach the pinacle or as close as possible but so far that hasn't been my experience. I suppose I'm looking for something that will incorporate Google Earth from the planes viewpoint.

I don't know why, but i don't like X-plane graphics. It looks so synthetic and lifeless. X-plane's world is dead, noone will hear your cry. If you wait long enough, you will see langoliers coming...
