Spektrum Airware basic telemetry setup for SPM4649T and RSSI

Basic walk through on setting up telemetry on a Spektrum Airware transmitter. Also talk a little bit about RSSI setup (update to display this coming soon).

in the flight log on the dx8 g2 when i change alert for rssi to voice and test it i get no voice. but when i set it tone i get tone. is there something i need to change to get voice alerts?

So will the telemetry work at all with a Eachine Wizard X220? This quad uses a F3 6DOF, betaflight 2.9.1 version and from what I see only uses a sbus connector. I am trying to figure out before I buy it the best way to use my dx9. This quad does not have any osd so it would be nice to see my remaining battery. I was also looking at using the Spektrum Quad Race Serial Receiver w/Diversity but again the telementary would be nice. Final question because of the carbon fiber can I link 2 remote receivers to the Quad Race Serial Receiver w/Diversity instead of one?

that auto configuration is that new on what firmware level for the radio?. I've never seen that on my dx9.

Miguel Alvarez thanks it has to be an update because I have a dx9 and the telemetry receiver and that is not an option on my radio and neither is the Rssi in the flight log section. Which is what I wanted at out everything.

You didn't really go into the betaflight configuration, can you? I need to know how you wired it up and how you setup the ports tab.

Hi Miguel, If I can get RSSI from my Crossfire Micro RX to my Omnibus through SBUS. Can i send it to my DX8 Gen 2 so I can hear it using the the voices and vibration? Thank you. Where you get that awesome skin for the Transmitter?

Nes Marinescu how do you get rssi from cross fire to fc.. I've been trying to do that one for a little bit

If you have an fc with an OSD like the Omnibus or the Betaflight FC, simply output RSSI to one of your PPM or SBUS channels on the Crossfire. Then in the Betaflight configurator assign that channel to the rssi value. Care it is offset by 2 3 channels, sometimes channel 7 on xfire is equivalent to channel 9 in betaflight. Go to the receiver tab and that channel will oscilate based on the RSSI value. Oscarliang has a tutorial on this.

I have the same question as Malpica's FPV. I dowloaded the newest firmware for the new dx7 but I do not see the signal option on my dx7.

VictorFPV Spoken rssi warning isnt available yet. it should be in the next update. right now you can only do tone/vibe
