Thanks bro i keep my punch level at 5

These programmers dont seem to like 2in1 systems either. The 6000kv 2in1 esc i have in my Losi mini B and the 40 amp 2in1 you get with some older Axial rigs just wont work with it.

Is it best to keep bec voltage at 7.4 or turn it down to 6? Please answer and thanks in advance

Keep it stock is my recommendation. To be completely honest, I wouldn’t change anything not even the punch level. I’d keep everything stock. Also, I highly recommend not putting in the high speed pinion gears. From my experience, Arrma RC’s run fantastic via “stock”. You’ll almost never come across issues if you keep everything stock. From my experience, when you start changing things you’ll end up hurting your wallet/bank. So what that means is if you have money go ahead and play with the ESC and motor settings and throw on a high speed gear. If you’re not rich keep it stock and enjoy the beauty of your RC’s. Arrma is the only RC’s I’ve ever personally used that run amazing in stock.

@@knightsunlimitedrc thanks for reply. I did change punch to 5 and it feels quicker but I'm really loving the arrma. But I ran into a problem yesterday it stopped while I was driving and wouldn't move. I swapped a fresh set of lipos in and now it won't steer seems like the servo is broken but i have throttle response fwd and bwd. I've only had the v5 for 2 weeks now 😒

@@boomerak4774 yep. The stock servos are trash. I should have mentioned that. Really all stock servos across the RC world are terrible. No matter what RC you get you just change out those servos. I’ve had stock servos go out 2 days after getting the RC. Here are the servos I use on all my RC’s. They work great. You just need to swap out your servo. @@knightsunlimitedrc thanks man! I'm definitely going to look into getting that servo thanks for the link. Other than the steering going out I really love the kraton my first 6s and many more to come. I'm new to the rc world so I try to acquire as much knowledge as I can I appreciate the response

@@boomerak4774 If you're running stock servo you should set BEC to 6v. Stock BEC for Spektrum 150a ESC for some reason is set to 7.4v.

The punch level on my esc and programmer doesn't go past 5 what's up with that. I've seen some go past that.

I did that same thing that you said not to do now I have a fried esc
@basementracer2 жыл бұрын
That's not the ESC's fault, it's yours for turning up the wick and running the thing until you blew your ESC. It should have thermal shutdown before it as you say fried the ESC. They have a thermal cutoff. I have thermaled loads of times when I changed my gearing. Thing is I didn't ignore it., I went out an bought some extra cooling and now it's fine.

@@basementracer I haven’t even been running it for five minutes after I got it and fried the esc it haven’t even touched the dirt yet

Utter bollox, running my K8 on punch 5, it flies and runs perfectly. Did it with that exact programmer. You either have or had an issue with your motor or ESC, probably ESC. Total BS, these ESC and motors can handle punch at max. I also run max gearing BTW, it requires extra cooling to run as I do but your statement of these things not being able to handle it is utter bollox.
