I liked the starting talk around healthcare/insurance. Having worked in healthcare IT for the last 10 years... Its such a scam. It's not fair to the Doctors, Operations teams and most importantly the patients. Clinics are struggling to keep up with the volume of "busy" admin work and Business Operations are struggling to keep up with constant rule/coding changes in order to keep the business afloat. Its all so sad because at the end of the day, the patients suffer the most.

Spicy Spence is great. He was the comic relief we needed after Cooper left and the only position like his is what George is doing as video guy and comic commentator. Some of Spencer's live stuff annoyed me, but I HATE watching sports and can't stand commenter's on sporting events. I'm very quiet and easily annoyed and have more interest in either doing something myself or watching a real behind the scenes or real reality show where you get to know the people rather than just see a pro playing a game. Spencer's is one of the real people who made up the automotive story on the Cleetus channel. I would rather meet him and hang out than meet some random pro athlete or racer. Clay is a cool guy, due to showing us what really goes on.....not a random pro. I can't imagine death threats to someone who is a non controversial entertainer. I really enjoyed the podcast, while doing some fab work and welding for a job in my shop. The insurance and financial stuff was great. My parents had investments before but they didn't do much. Over the last few years they have used a guy recommended by a family member with a successful small business and have made good money on a conservative plan. At 43 years old, I just setup something with the same guy......wish I had it at age 20, but then again it might now have grown much either. Kaiser health insurance for just me is $500 per month in socal. Other options weren't much less for less coverage and my income fluctuates so the "affordable" care plans don't seem like a good option either since I could be low income one year and then have potential to make over 100k if we landed a prevailing wage job. It is a joke dealing with expenses and I too am a Libertarian and patriot who hates how backward things are.

@commentcrusader same way the hudderites or menonites do it...they are a private corporation... protected under international jurisdiction, they own their own infastructure....and are not subject to federal jurisdiction...as long as they don't participate... everything they have is protected in a trust of the corporation....you have to stop supporting the problem and build your own solutions with other like minded individuals....that's the only solution

While he was from the automotive space, he didn't really know any of the youtubers and was really stumbling, while spence really knew these guys and followed them and what they've been up to. I work where retiring at 50-55 years old is typical. We have normalized $2,000 a month family insurance plans as just the way it is. Car and home insurance is another scam, especially for us in South Florida. Watching LTT and here them talk about waiting to see a doctor in Canada, makes you wonder where the middle ground is.

Insurance is a huge scam. I don't have any problem with Spencer, I like him a lot, but for the healthy 23 year old like myself, insurance is a scam. I truly believe even car insurance is. I think it's majorly corrupt for states to mandate that you carry car insurance. If you're worried about it, do a ton of shopping for insurance, take the cheapest rate you can find, and put that amount into a separate bank account every month. Do NOT touch it except in extreme emergencies. It will collect interest, it never leaves your hands, and it will be reserved for you and only you. Does insurance benefit some people? Absolutely. How many people get their money's worth or more back? Almost zero.
