Making mistakes is the BEST way for me to learn but I sometimes need to remind myself when I screw up. Thanks for being real and reminding us. We're learning from you and learning from the people making comments. Kain and Cecil are so cute. Makes me happy to see Kain is on the up hill swing.

It's great to see everyone back to full health ❤ As someone with zero woodworking skills, even your small projects look very impressive to me. Must be very satisfying to be able to make things up for yourself, like the window ledges and small furniture. Keep it up guys 👍🙂

Thanks Mark! It has been fun to see Bryce being able to construct things from thin air! Me on the other hand would probably cut my hand off with the saw. So I still got to take baby steps into that skill 😂

Great to see the whole household are eager to get on with the cabin! There’s plenty of us with a cash flow problem, you’re not alone. The old saying “ make do or mend” is as true today as it ever was! Love your style of presentation, great to see the good and the failures! Life’s like that with most of us. ❤

Love that saying! The thing about not having enough $ for things makes you really have to be creative and think out of the box, something Bryce and I both love doing! And when you mess up the second try is always going to be better than the first! Thanks for your support 🩵

For cutting your plywood you need a crosscut blade to prevent the chipping,also 60 to 80 teeth blade and good side down when cutting with a Skill Saw. As usual a good honest video and I love to see the human side of life! You are two very smart people and are doing a real good job!

Keep it up both of you. We are all not perfect and as long as you are enjoying it then it works. My husband and myself sit in the most comfortable camping chairs to watch tv in our living room with a couch. Also YES YES YES for Kain! So happy he is better.

The camp chairs are just so convenient because they can be so easily moved around 😂 thank you for the continued support Amber!

On your plywood issue flipping it will help but you will still have tear-out on the bottom side. If it's not an issue don't worry about it. The proper way would be to use a fine tooth plywood blade in your saw.
@brycerehder83728 ай бұрын
Very helpful, thank you! I'll have to get a finer blade in the future.

Make some fire starters. Birch bark is amazing but you can utilize leftover saw dust/shavings from wood working projects/dryer lint/small pine cones/charcoal, in egg cartons filled with beeswax and parafin wax. They burn for a long time.

Thank you for the advice! We will make sure to use it

All that rotting timber wound make a great foundation for raised garden beds. Good drainage and later mulch for the garden.

Team work makes the dream work. You guys are a great team . Glad Kane is well. Love the table. The colors you picked out are great. A curtain would be great on kitchen closet. Maybe you could hook up washer in barn I would like you to center the toaster oven on shelf away from wall. Sometimes they get pretty hot. Great job u two.😁
@averagewanderers8 ай бұрын
That is so true, if we didn’t work as a team we’d get no where 😂 we will definitely make sure we center the toaster oven 🩵 we don’t need a fire catastrophe on our hands 😂

Dried orange peels makes a good fire starter and it smells nice. Eat your oranges and let the peel dry out place in a bowl by the stove. Use a glass or plastic measuring cup with water for a level . You can use anything that has a line that you can see makes a level.
@averagewanderers8 ай бұрын
Oooooo I will definitely try the orange peel trick! And I would have never thought of water in a measuring cup, thank you for that suggestion!

I’m not sure but you might be able to switch the way your fridge opens. It’s so much easier to open towards your counter. You have a beautiful cabin / home! I would love a workshop like yours for sooo many projects. This summer will be much fun for you, enjoying and exploring your new home!

Happy to see your back with a new video. Glad to hear Kain's eye is better. How old is Kain? A KZbin family the Watson's just added to their small cabin. This video is the finished master bedroom and to me it is beautiful. It may or may not be your taste but check it out. They moved into this cabin in Alaska a year ago last Nov. and I've watched them do projects on their property. Having an accent wall I think really does the room wonders. Check it out. at Home Free Alaska kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJTOaIubgNlpibM (you can copy and paste the link if it doesn't work by clicking on it.

We will check that channel out! Love finding new channels to watch and support and get ideas from, thank you for sharing it! Kain turned 9 end of November, but his playful spirit is still going strong, especially after his eye healed up!
