Omg this is so cool. I saved this video until I had time to sit down with it. What a great moment for you guys! It was such an emotional ride to hear Bryce tell of how you almost didn't get it and it finally came together. Jen's excitement shows through big time as well 😊 All the best with your new home and project ❤👍🏻🙂

Thank you so much Mark! So far it’s already been a crazy ride trying to get readjusted to sticks and bricks but we are both happy to finally have a stationary place to call home!

Hey Bryce! Pro Tip: When pumping gas, the second button down on the right side of the video screen usually turns the sound off on those stupid things! ....I hate that too! 😁👍
@averagewanderers9 ай бұрын
You are a life saver Curt!! That is good to know!!

@@averagewanderers I don't remember who told me about that, but yeah, big help! ....I try to be particularly aware of my surroundings and of the other people around me while pumping gas.... You're in an already vulnerable position,and added distractions are BAD. ... There are monsters to watch out for, and they look just like people. Also, I hate being bombarded with advertising everywhere I go.

No way, totally going to try that. Thanks Curt haha

I never watch the ads when I am pumping gas. I watch the numbers on the pump, check the gas nozzle, check out other drivers. There are lots of things to look at besides the ads.

Congratulations on your new home! It’s such a huge life event!! I saved up for over a decade and finally purchased my home nearly four years ago (and got married two years ago so it’s “our” home now haha). It’s been an amazing experience. I’m so excited for you guys. Two ultras, engagement, a new puppy, and a new home-what a year!! What a wonderful cabin (issues to be continued…)!
@averagewanderers9 ай бұрын
I love that you got to build up to your home, it really makes it special when you finally can make something yours! It has been quite the year, hopefully 2024 will be the year of settling in haha. We can’t wait to see what ultras you got on the horizon!
@iamsillycaitlin9 ай бұрын
@@averagewanderersAww, thanks! I’ve got a couple things planned so far. TARCtic Frozen Yeti 30-hour in February. It’s local in Mass, five mile loops, and you have to do 30 miles to be an official ultra finisher. I’m going for 35+ for a new distance PR. Then in May I have REVEL White Mountains (road marathon, but through the beautiful White Mountains of NH). I can’t wait to see what you guys have in store this year-both in running and in life!

@@iamsillycaitlin Those all sound like super fun races! The 30 hour race would be so interesting, and I can't wait to see how you do, which will be an awesome job of course! We hope to one day get to the east side of the states and see what that has to offer because it looks stunning there (who knows maybe that's in our future ;)
