Oh fun fact, there is a comic that brings up MJ having a stillborn daughter: Renew Your Vows(the ongoing, not the mini by Slott). In it Annie finds out that she isn’t the first daughter of the family and has a good talk with her mother about it. And then they pay it off in one of the Spider-Verse events! Mayday comes to Annie’s universe and when she introduces herself to the family MJ leaves the room to not cry in front of everyone(cause she realizes right away who this May is) and Annie comforts her while Mayday talks to Peter etc. At the end of the story Annie opens up to Mayday about her mom/family’s past and says she’s happy to have gotten to meet and team up with her cause she’s basically her alternate big sister.

Sals rant for the first 5 minutes is literally why (along with other reasons) I can’t get behind Wells book, Peter works for Norman the man who killed his clone/brother, had him believing he was the clone himself, had aunt May kidnapped along with a slew of other things before and since. Yeah Norman is “cured” thanks to the Sin Eater but that just means the goblin formula wasn’t at fault for Normans insanity and worse still that he was bad to begin with and just got worse, it makes no sense to be working with your arch nemesis at all. As for what happened to Mayday in OMD we see the red haired girl, I always saw that as Mephisto showing them what they’d lose as she was still out there still but since BND she was written out of existence due to the changes made. But as we saw more recently he did this specifically to get rid of Mayday who he has visions of her destroying him so it feels like they planted that for a potential future story if Marvel ever decide to fix Spider-Man in the future

The kid grows up into the little girl from One More Day who rightfully calls Peter selfish. Next issue; Peter remembers somehow, deal with Mephistopheles is called off, either proper divorce or remarriage, and the girl named May calls Peter a well-meaning ass while she moves on. Either to finally close the book on that, or have her return as a hero. Fans will appreciate it at least a little.

I love that Peter is a dad. It’s the main selling point of the new Ultimate Spider-Man comic for me. Adults want to read about a grown up Spider-Man dealing with his family problems and being a dad. Kids want to read about Spider-Man fighting bad guys and looking cool. It’s so simple what Marvel needs to do but they are afraid to take the risk. Everyone else who gets the chance to make these stories has them have kids. Hickman’s run is Peter as a dad being bitten by the spider and what comes of that. His kids don’t have powers. It’s up to you which version you prefer. I like the kids eventually having powers and learning from Peter

I loved Spider-Girl and everything that came with her. The Savage Six are really cool. All of her rogues are awesome and unique.

Wasn't that whole business with the baby relating to the writing team's plans to have Peter go home and become a family man while Ben Reiley would take over as Spider-Man? Then they got cold feet about making the switch off which left them with a baby on the way they didn't know what to do with and yeah, Tiffany's facial expression sums it up pretty well.

Eternally glad that Sony and the ATSV crew decided not to be cowards and showed Peter actually being a devoted father and husband

Fitting that we went over the history of Phil Urich since he's a current goblin reanimated antagonist in Red Goblin. Everything comes back around. hahah.

19:20 I liked the idea of the original Silk costume...I also like the idea of them not renumbering her every six issues. 💀

Every time Sal used the verbs "Spider-manning" and "Spider-girling" I snickered like a goddamn middle-schooler.

Wow what a surprisingly delightful coincidence! I was randomly looking for a GBU episode I hadn't seen yet to watch before bed last night and ended up choosing the 'Second Generation Superheroes' one, which stars none other than, The Amazing Spider Girl! I'm even more excited to dive into this Back Issues now. Just thought I'd leave a comment 1st 🙂

Wooooo! You finally fixed the sound design & your episodes are super quiet. I no longer have to crank my volume on my device to the max to hear you!
