Spider-Man 2, the one with the stopping the train scene, brings back 36 year old super powered college student Peter Parker again played by Tobey Maguire. He must use all of his abilities to punch a man wanting to recreate the sun using a set of metal octopus arms drilled into his back. This is our Caravan Of Garbage review. And we're sorry alright.

I get that they said it in jest and not as an actual dig at the film. But personally that scene is one of the most well crafted "super-hero" moment put to screen and it is mainly because he is a man to the world but in reality he is a kid (even though TM looks 30 years old in these films). The whole idea of spider-man is that he is a teen, that could have been anyone, who has to pretend to be wearing the "suit" of a man. Making him the greatest super-hero put to comic book paper and to the silver screen (any iteration, even Garfield's) and this scene captured that perfectly. The way the guy says "he....hes just a kid. No older than my son" he bewilderment as they have all just seen this incredible super-hero fight till he can barely stand and all because they think he can do it, cause hes spider-man.... only for minutes later him be unmasked infront of them as a kid that might still be in school. Amazing and is up there with the greatest comic book movie moments ever. Along with cap saying "avengers assemble" Cap wielding mjilnor And Wolverines on-screen death where he embraces not just death.... but family.

Ethan Ramsey Agreed, I think it would’ve been cool if they went the route of the Ultimate Comics. Have Oscorp work on this serum that can help cure people OR you could have it that Harry botched the goblin serum and created the symbiote. You could still have the whole thing of Harry ruining Peter’s life by breaking him and MJ up and maybe also going after Aunt May.

One detail I remember from the DVD bonus features is that the suit in the first Spider-man movie couldn't stretch very well and they would have to re-tailor it depending on what pose the actor or stunt double was doing. So if you watch closely, you'll notice that there are barely any shots where the guy in the suit goes from a standing position to a crouching position. In the second movie, though, they not only re-designed the look of the suit, but they used a more flexible material, and the physical action looks a lot better because of it.

Little personal story: This movie takes place around 2 years after the first which puts Peter in his sophomore year of college. Nothing is going his way and he’s suffering from severe heart ache. Coincidentally, I, a sophomore in college, am currently in a lot of the same situations as Peter, including some severe heart ache over someone I’ve cared about for a long time. When I watched this movie as a kid, I watched it for the action. I did not ever think I would see myself in Peter’s situation when I got older.

It’s a good scene, people just get upset that May pulls her hand away in horror and leaves her nephew in his lowest moment.Compared to the comics it makes her look like a bad person, I like it because it’s a genuine human moment and she makes up for it later.

I mean... wouldn’t she react that way? In the comics she literally despises Spider-Man because she thinks it’s his fault Uncle Ben dies, and now Peter subtly admits not only is he Spider-Man, but that his selfishness killed Uncle Ben... how else would she react?
