I will always consider this version of Spiderman the greatest version. Also the series ended on a cliffhanger, so in my headcanon, Spiderman looked for Mary Jane in whatever universe is on the other side of the portal, gets hit on the head and loses his memory and lives the life of a prince named eric, and rediscovers true love with his favorite red head when he finds her living the life of a mermaid. This is also why Prince Eric seems very sure the girl for him is out their and that he will find her one day even before he meets Ariel because he has hope he will find Mary Jane again one day.

John Semper, Jr. ran a fun and relatively faithful version of Spider-Man. Episodes were based on classic storylines from the comics, and modified judiciously to fit into 22-minute episodes. I wasn’t crazy about the theme song, but was happy that it was by Joe Perry from Aerosmith (referenced in the black suit episode as something like, “The suit can morph into anything... regular street clothes... I can look like that guy from Aerosmith...”). Peter Parker was voiced by the guy who played Greg Brady in The Brady Bunch Movie, cementing his place in pop culture.

Talking of books, you guys should totally do some old STAR WARS LEGENDS books from the 90s and 00s. They're pretty short to read and lots are either comics or have fan art... For instance there's the one where Wedge Antilles persuades Wes Janson (yes, both from the films) to strip naked and cover himself in ewok food as a practical joke [Solo Command] Or that time Han gets so jealous of Leia liking someone else that he uses a magic gun to kidnap/abduct/mindcontrol her (you read that right) and takes her to an Imperial planet full of witches who ride wild rancors (yup you read that right too) before Han blows up a planet wide cloaking device and a bad guy and Leia marries him because she forgives the kidnapping [Courtship Of Princess Leia] Or the one where the three eyed mutant Trioculus (not a joke) pretends to be the son of Emperor 'Sheev not Steve' Palpatine and declares himself emperor and tries to marry Leia Organa but is outwitted by Ken, son of both Jedi Princess 'Kendalina' (not a joke) and the REAL son of Palpatine 'Triclops' (also not a joke) who replaces Leia with Leia Organa II (a droid that looks exactly like her, except it fires lasers from its eyes, also very much not a joke)....... etc. [The Jedi Prince series was weird -- but it had pictures!! :D] Or the full 400+ page proper novel that literally just Han, Leia and Chewie chasing a painting [Tatooine Ghost]
