Totally! Although many did expect this due to the side mission loose threads and the first game have two phenomenal DLC's. Leaks suck though!

Insomniac are working on so much tho. The Wolverine and Venom games, Ratchet and Clank for next gen and Spider Man 3 is also in their plans. So I think it might not have been possible for them ro work on a dlc for Spider Man 2 because of this, but all said I would've absolutely loved to see more story content.

Not really cancelled, more like confirmed there will be no dlc, leaks were not for us to see, also if they are doing venom game probably some things from dlc will be there Edit: Although it is kinda sad we won't be getting any dlc becasue this game is a lot of fun

As much is i had my issues with spiderman 2 it seems like insomniac is one of the few developers actually trying to help the ps5. They have released miles morales, ratchet and clank, and spiderman 2. While other sony studios like santa monica has only released ragnarok and naughty dog hasnt done anything. I can cut some slack off insomniac since they are working on many other projects

This isn’t shocking in the slightest. Insomniac have a LONG history of rushing games and spreading themselves too thin (Resistance, and Ratchet and Clank would fight over resources/development time during the PS3. Spiderman 2 was also Fallout 76 levels of broken/buggy at launch😂). We also learned from the leaks that development costs are crazy high, and that’s not including the massive royalties Marvel/Disney are collecting from Sony on Marvel games. It’s really interesting just how much was cut. From what I’ve heard like 80% of the Venom dialogue went unused. We also have a development build for Wolverine, and the entire story leaked.

I doubt it, considering it's now been a year and we have had nothing, I think it's dead and they've moved on to focus on Wolverine!

This could be a good thing since they can focus on Wolverine. Carnage or whomever can just be part of a side quest line for SM3 instead of SM2 dlc.

Pretty much feeling the same disappointment. The carnage storyline would have been the most interesting to follow, so it is a big blow to not have it continued in a DLC of some kind. This news is not really shocking, considering how bad of a year SONY has had. I am not sure what their plans are, really. Concord was an astronomical failure, and it is going to take a long time for them to recover from that, it seems. In any case, the gaming and technology industries have been suffering pretty bad ever since COVID-19 was over. We are just seeing the symptoms of said suffering on display here.

If Spider-Man 2 director's cut happens than an Interaction with Symbiote Spider-Man and Black Cat is possible, bcuz there was a deleted scene where Symbiote Spider-Man interacted with Black Cat after fighting the hunters ince he got the Symbiote, so i have a 50/50 chance it could happen, will it? Bcuz sony rushed the game

I have played lots of Spider-Man games but to me this one feels rushed imao. Would have been pleased to see and play a Wolverine game before this had a second run.
