Infamous 1 is my favorite game of all time and it defo deserves a Remaster. As well as 2 and its dlc. The resistance trilogy shud also be remastered. They are great games. I dont think that there being so many remasters on ps5 is a bad thing, i think they are just doing it with the wrong games

At the very least Sony should make a bunch of collections of their old games with restored online multiplayer, bug fixes, and modernized/remapable controls for PS4/5 and PC. That would be a great way to gauge if there’s enough demand to make new entries in those various franchises. Sony has so many great IPs that they’re doing absolutely nothing with. They also should’ve added backwards compatibility with physical disks going back to the PS1 to the base PS5 day one, and added the feature sometime into the PS4’s lifecycle. There’s no excuse for the lack of backwards compatibility since hobbyists in their spare time were able to get those games running really well, restore online functionality, and archived a good chunk of the custom levels for LittleBigPlanet. Early models of the PS3 were backwards compatible, certain Nintendo consoles had that feature, and Xboxes have it (if you pay $20 for dev mode you can install emulators going up to the PS2/Wii on the Series S/X. If you want a machine that’s great at emulation I’d suggest buying a used Series S, getting dev mode, and loading it up with ROMs. If you already have a good computer then there’s not really a reason to buy one). I know it would be expensive to add that feature, but it would’ve been infinitely cheaper than blowing 400 MILLION DOLLARS on Concord, and MASSIVELY overpaying for Bungie (a studio that hasn’t made a good game since Halo Reach in 2011. Microsoft owns Halo, and Take2 owns both Oni and Myth. Aside from what Bungie currently owns being Marathon, Destinity, and Pathways into Darkness their other games are on par with your average mobile/Flash game). If the PS5 was backwards compatible going back to the PS1 I’d buy one yesterday. As it stands aside from Octodad, Ratchet and Clank (PS4 remake of the first game. Rift Apart is on Steam), Astrobot, and a few others there’s nothing that really wows me like games from the PS2/3 era do. I’ve been playing through the Resistance trilogy through RPCS3 (PS3 emulator) and it’s a blast. The games definitely have their issues, but they’re pretty fun and have a super interesting setting. It’s such a shame that Sony shot down Insomniac’s pitch for the 4th mainline game since apparently it was “too similar to Last of Us”. Even though both games have a COMPLETELY different weapon and enemy sandbox. The real reason they shot it down is because Sony’s “Halo Killers” (the true Halo Killer was itself under 343) sadly didn’t sell very well. There was a thing where some of the Insomniac people said the reason it most likely never truly caught on is because they kept radically changing the health/weapon systems each game.

It’s so not necessary. The game is playable and fun as is on the PS4/5. On the other hand, GTA IV needs at least a PS4 release.

I would love to see a Siren remasters. Siren 1 has recently been re-released for the new PS2 emulator while 2 and Blood Curse hasn't had a proper release

Good mention about infamous! .. maybe not so close to a Uncharted 1 nor the current spiderman games.. I still hold firm that we need a Resistance trilogy remake, and also need Ratchet and Clank ps2 & ps3 remaster or remake... the 2016 reimagining was a shell of what a proper remake shouldve been with all the cuts and the bad movie cutscenes

inFAMOUS should definitely get a remaster or remake. Maybe both inFAMOUS 1 and 2 or just the first game; either way I would love to see inFAMOUS get a remaster on PS5. I remember playing the demos of 2 games and actually played the full games and I enjoyed them so much and had a lot of fun!

I'm currently playing King Kong on the PS2. I hate 1st person shooters but inspite of this I'm surprised at how good the game is. It could use a remake.

The thing about these remasters like Horizon Zero Dawn is that they're glorified enhanced versions, rather than your typical old gen remaster, so the premise of "over Horizon" isn't a good foundation. So with that said.... inFAMOUS Dualogy would be a fine choice, even moreso now with Sony's return to backwards compatibility with their consoles (extending that games relevance and accessibility longterm) and Second Son having gotten next-gen improvements. Making a whole series playthrough better than ever as of the present. *Jak and Daxter needs a fairly high budget (or maybe lower budget to avoid certain changes) remaster, not a remake. A remake in this day and age is the absolute worst time to revisit the Jak of all series. The changes that would be done to the character designs, dialogue, and personalities would be a notable departure and make the series unrecognizable. I wish people caught on this. It's been pretty apparent for many years now. In short, the series deserves an extremely faithful remaster, but it'd never be allowed. And to throw a more modern game, inline'ish with Horizon, TLOU2, Days Gone, etc... Gravity Rush 2 is overdue of the remastering treatment. One of the few last gen Sony games that never got any update. No 60fps, 4k, etc. Tired of Sony slacking on this precious gem.

I was pissed when I saw the zero dawn remaster but after seeing it’s only a £10 upgrade especially when you’re still entitled to it if you claimed it for free, I’m now looking forward to revisiting it

Sony should continue to remaster PS3 classics like Infamous, Ratchet and Clank Future Trilogy, Resistance, and Killzone 2 for the PS4. Meanwhile, PS1 and PS2 classics should get remakes like Ape Escape, Jak and Daxter, Sly Cooper, King's Field, and Syphon Filter. Hell, aren't we long overdue for a fourth Jak and Daxter and a third Medievil?

I haven't played it but I heard that The Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection was a really good improvement and it makes the games a lot better (specifically I've heard the shooting is much better) and there is a rumor going on that they are working on a remaster of the original Greek mythology god of war saga and that it will be announced at the 20 years anniversary of the franchise but I am highly doubtful although there was leak if I am not mistaken but take that with a grain of salt.

I'm sorry man, but if you haven't played the original Gow games, don't give your opinion on the mechanics and the general quality of the game, but if you did, what are you talking about? The new Gow are much clumsier than the ones on the Ps2, the variety of weapons, enemies, bosses, scenarios, soundtrack and the general combat of the old ones put the ones on the PS5 to shame.

Whoa whoa, hold on now. *Days Gone* getting one too?! Even though they're gonna fuck up some things, like every remaster inevitably does, this would be one of the most exciting (last gen) re-releases and something that could pave the way (like a second wind) at getting that due/deserved sequel. Oh wait... the two most based developers on the team left the studio, and Sony games are being exploited to push political ideologies, so um. Well, since I love Days Gone I still want to end this on a positive note: the remaster is an incredible opportunity to fix the remaining technical issues and common ones people constantly moan about. I'm not sure if and how much would have to be redone/recaptured but examples would include ridding away the black screen transitions, tweaking/fixing the few sound mixing issues, and... my knowledge is rusty. Gonna have to relearn some of the technical issues this weekend and update my comment.

Well tbh the biggest things in ps4 were in it's second half too. Now we have not that much games because they take long to make and sony kinda slowed things down with live service games that they are releasing and all that they scrapped

I still don’t know why inFAMOUS hasn’t been remastered. I don’t think 2 needs a remake as it still plays well to this day. For 1 I’d say just port the core traversal of 2 into 1. Faster parkour and better thrusters I feel would be fine for the first game. I don’t think the gameplay needs to be completely changed.

As well with the first light arenas in that disc you could also then play as good or evil Cole and I’d have multiplayer on there. So just imagine fetch, good or evil Cole, and good or evil Delsin. Straight up remakes with modern graphics for the uncharted trilogy and god of war ps2/ps3 games but without modern left wing censorship would be amazing. The god of war PS3 games and the uncharted trilogy still look amazing but would be great to improved actual in game cut scenes instead pre rendered cut scenes.
