I still remember seeing this for the first time back in 2006 or 2007 when I was 7 years old ... my goodness, still gives me shivers... I really miss Raimi's Spiderman... All the things about these movies and even the music are magnificent, breathtaking and absolutely amazing... but I'm glad they did justice to both Tobey and Andrew in Spiderman No way home... This is my childhood, and it was more than beautiful thanks to Tobey

This is a long post, so read it if you so please. The director, Sam Raimi, said that they tried to fit too much into the movie. Too much characters, villains, and storylines. That creates a big mess, and what he should have done was to stick with what the original two movies had and progress the characters in a more natural way in the third movie. He said that while directing the movie, he felt something was off and didn't care about the characters at all. I don't know much about films, but when the guy who has made great movies and studied movies for years says that any movie is bad, I'm gonna take his word on it. Not to mention, Sony basically forced him to make the movie the way they wanted to. Originally, Vulture was going to be the villain, and we would have had a story that Sam Raimi wanted to tell. But then Sony forced him to do Venom, and then Raimi just stopped caring for a movie that he didn't want to make. But that's Raimi's story, here's mine. Why do I hate it? Why do the fans hate it? To start off with the obvious, Emo Peter Parker. Ah, let's get this nice, young, well structured character and make him emo, and dance in the streets. Because surely that's what the fans want, right? When he has the symbiote, he's supposed to be dark and murderous, that doesn't mean he should dance in a street... Secondly, the villains. They put too many villains in the movie for us to be threatened by. Green Goblin trying to fight Spidey one on one? Hell yeah. Doc Ock vs Spiderman alone on a train? Yes! Spiderman fighting Harry, then Sandman, then Sandman and Venom with the help of Harry? That would be a no for me. Plus, they didn't do their stories right at all. Harry is told by his butler that his father was the Green Goblin. Should he have told him this when he first found out, in the second movie? No. Should he have told him this when he was preparing to attack Peter? No. Should he have told him right before he attacked Peter? No. Should he have told him after he attacked Peter? No. Should he have told him before he took a grenade to the face? No. Ah, yes, but let's wait until the hero is in trouble for his butler to tell him that. Then there's sandman. He killed Uncle Ben? Then he didn't? And we're supposed to care? Honestly, whether or not he killed Uncle Ben should be of little concern to anyone, he's a villain. Fight him. Then, ol' sandy got his powers, and boy does this make sense. So, these scientists are trying to do a major experiment and even have fences to make sure nobody breaks in. Then, there's a problem. Something is inside of the testing area! What should these well-trained, expertise scientists do? A. Stop the test because something is in the testing area? B. Stop the test because that may be a human? C. Don't stop the test, but at least check on what is in the testing area? D. Don't stop the test because it's probably a bird. Ah, yes, let's choose D and put our careers and this man's life at risk. Finally, we have Venom. You know Venom from the comics, right? The giant, black, threatening, murderous beast? Well, in this movie he's jealous about his girlfriend and his job. Oh no. Poor Eddie. And I love how whenever Venom tries to talk, he has to pull his symbiote back and we get to see Eddie's face. Honestly, I couldn't care less about Eddie's face, I want to see Venoms. And in the comics, Venom is a huge beast. In the movie he's literally just a human with a suit, there's no real threat. Plus, Venom's voice sucks to be honest, it just sounds weird and not very threatening. In my opinion. But, nonetheless, we have Spidey's arch nemesis, Venom. What a great villain in the comics, he's a polar opposite of Spiderman. What's this, he has like 10 minutes of screentime before dying? This movie has so many problems, and alone, they're not that big of a deal, but when you have so many different problems adding up, it's just not very fun to see. This is all my opinion, of course. You can choose to continue to watch and enjoy Spiderman 3 as long as you'd like, but the majority of the fanbase will disagree with you.
