I actually think that having the scene with Peter dancing through the streets coming after he defeats Harry gives a darker vibe to him and it works quite well. If we take from both the editor's cut and some other deleted scenes, and some of the theatrical cut as well, every time Peter had used the costume, he stopped wearing it, getting exhausted after taking off and would put the suit in the box. As the black suit was an allegory to addiction, he starts to use it, but tries to put a limit because he realizes it's causing him to behave differently. Then he puts on the costume a third time to fight Harry, defeats him, not caring if he may have killed him and on the following morning he is just dancing happily. It kinda is a ridiculous scene, but it's quite dark when you realize it's Peter basically drowned in a drug addiction.

The studio forced him to have venom so i really don't blame Sam. They should have focused on sandman

The dance scene is meant not to be taken seriously. Also, peter grew up a bullied nerd. He had no confidence until the symbiote bonds with him. He dances because that's his take on cool.

Firstly, I think Sandman's motivation should have been like the spiderman 3 game they made, where Venom kidnaps his daughter and forces him to join sides. Obviously not the most original, but still would be better and make more sense. He just goes..."yeah k lets kill him" then turns into a good guy again when Venom dies. It feels disrespectful after he turned into a giant monster and put hundreds of people's lives at risk a few minutes prior. I also think there should have been scenes of Peter in the black suit taking down regular criminals at night. They did have scenes made but were deleted. At least just a small montage and at the end of it Peter is being more violent with a criminal, maybe even have people nearby be like "Yo Spider Man that's enough!" "What's wrong with you man?"

I understand why he view the scene that way. I myself didn't like it for a long time, thinking we needed to see Peter unhinged, but then I simply stopped caring over the time and when I saw how the scene fit in the editor's cut it made me appreciate it actually. Not to mention the memes ahahaha
