After no way home and the fact that the Avengers movies are around the corner, a street level story seems like a terrible idea at the moment at least until everything multiverse is outta the picture. I'm honestly suprised people keep having this opinion because we all saw no way home and all that crazy stuff that happened isn't just gonna disappear😂 that wouldn't fit the story at all. "I just stopped a multiversal threat with other versions of me, now ima go beat up a fat guy named kingpin" it just doesn't feel like that's the step we should be taking here. We need spiderman and the rest of the universe to say goodbye to the multiverse before we start doing grounded stories because "grounded" and "multiverse saga" don't go hand and hand

I wanna see a grounded story 2 but I'm not trying to have it forced into the plot atm to fit people's expectations because that's how you get crappy writing and overall a crappy movie lol. It's the equivalent of a halfbaked compliment. I think they need to use heavy multiverse elements in the next spiderman to start setting up the next avengers movie. Maybe even have an incursion start in the next spiderman movie and throughout we can see it progressively get worse and worse and at the end it could set him on the path towards the next avengers film.

There is such an easy pitch for Spider-Man 4’s story that Marvel and Sony seem oblivious to, it’s been staring them in the face and it’s had its seeds planted back as early as October, 2018. Peter is at his lowest, he’s got no one, MJ and Ned are in Massachusetts at MIT, his Aunt May is dead and everyone else who knew him doesn’t know who he is, so he’s focusing more on being Spider-Man. That’s a problem now that he’s going to Empire State University, he’s a recluse, he sits alone in class, he eats his dinner alone, he gets the subway to and from college alone, his classmates are worried about him, most importantly a guy named Harry, he’s asked Peter if he’s fine, but Peter brushes him off and tells him he’s fine, he just wants to be left alone. That’s how we pay off the ending of No Way Home, we have Peter at his lowest, it’s the perfect place to start him. Now, for the weird side of the pitch that I’m not sure if people will be completely down with or not, it kinda uses references, easter eggs and deleted scenes from both Far From Home and No Way Home as it’s basis. Peter has been getting low grades in college due to fighting crime as Spider-Man now that the Manfredi Family and the Inner Demons are at war to take Kingpin’s place as the new head of organised crime in New York. Now I’m going to take the setup from Echo, The Marvels, She-Hulk, as well as the expected setup from Daredevil: Born Again. Little do the gangs know that Fisk, the true Kingpin, has been working behind the scenes to get himself elected as the Mayor of the city to have even more power than he ever did before, which Daredevil has been working like a one man army trying to stop from happening, especially with Kate Bishop joining the Young Avengers, She-Hulk still practicing law in San Francisco and the Punisher, Echo and any remaining Defenders in Japan fighting the Hand. Spider-Man and Daredevil work together in order to put away both Mr. Negative and Silvermane, but at the cost of allowing Fisk to win the election and become Mayor. Now, to finally pay off that Homecoming post credits. With Fisk as Mayor, he employs Mac Gargan as a hired gun, now calling himself Scorpion thanks to an armoured suit Fisk had commissioned for him, to deal with Spider-Man and Daredevil whilst he rebuilds his criminal empire, using his position to brush it under the rug. Perhaps similar to Blake Tower, there’s an honest officer in the police force who knows Fisk is using his power to corrupt, and that officer is Captain George Stacy. The earliest seeds planted were in Daredevil Season 3, with Matt abandoning Foggy and Karen become Daredevil full time and kill Fisk, except this time, we’re gonna have it with Peter abandoning Matt to kill Fisk in a moment similar to when Peter beat Fisk to a pulp after he ordered the shot on Aunt May during One More Day. Matt will be able to stop Peter, but Peter will still have that anger in him. I’d honestly love to see Spider-Man 4 pull its concept Devil’s Reign, but take elements from One More Day, finally introduce Scorpion, give us a gang war in New York with other crime bosses who have unique abilities, all whilst using what the MCU already has set up for the story to tell a story that is genuinely compelling.

Here’s my theory on why spider verse beyond is taking sooo long. Besides that dude who voices miles drama . This my speculation but I believe Chris I remember u suggesting the meaning of “ BEYOND THE SPIDERVERSE” could that movie lean towards of a live action in some parts of that movie. They should still bring Null into MCU. His story could be expanded and he could be reintroduced as the one who left the necrosword found by Gorr, he decapitated the Celestial that became Knowwhere, and could tie the Celestials into the multiverse saga by having them responsible for sealing Null in the void. It would tie up the Eternals plotline and we could see Null invading multiverses while slaughter the Celestials. Null could be an awesome big bad that pushed Dr. Doom to want to save the Multiverse by destroying it, preventing it from falling into the hands of Null.
