Some objects are CG to eliminate camera reflections or to create reflections of things that "aren't there", some are beacuse of safety and some are there to enhance particle simulations like smoke. I don't think there is too much CGI. Besides, the trippy scene is meant to look a bit off, because we "know" that it is Mysterio's doing, and then when it gets more real... boom, plot twist, it's still an illusion.
@Dracogame5 жыл бұрын

I thought I would add to this as reading the comments there's alot of the same stuff. I worked on the film at Framestore earlier this year. 1) why is the Audi car cg? A) basically the original Audi was an older version of the car.. Audi then did a facelift version of the car that they wanted to see in the film.. they pay some bills and write some cheques so in it goes. The cg car was built and tracked to the original plate and replaced the original footage of the car. It also provided a nice interaction point for spidey as he opened the door.. and also provided good bounce light and reflections for spidey further integrating him into final shot. 2) why does spidey look so cg.. why not use actors A) if you saw Tom Holland in the suit you would actually laugh.. on his own he's quite slender and wirey but still toned and muscular. In a suit with zips up his back and the fabric folding an awful lot around his joints and shoulders it just looks very strange and like a man in a suit and laughable. With cg the result is arguably better providing a char closer to what we expect to see of a photoreal comic book.. not that of a person in a suit. Also the illusion really does jump if they cut from a cg acrobatic Spiderman to a person in a suit.. you really do see the cut and get pulled out of the moment. To add.. alot of the shots where we see Tom Holland's head in the costume.. the whole thing is cg as opposed to him stood there in the suit. They pretty much replace all but his head. But if you saw the raw plate with him stood in costume it feels dorky.. almost like a bad "kickass" suit. This 100 crazed sequence came into the studio halfway through production.. literally 3 to 4 months from the end.. Framestore team had to produce 100 shots.. many of them changed and adjusted as time went on. For example when I started on the shot there was about 12 shots that showed spidey getting shot.. then falling onto a web where a giant spider tries to attack him. It was quite nightmarish. Another scene featured spidey getting caught in bubbles and drowning in a pile of Mysterio glass heads.. another shot showed him tumbling across a ribbon like floor.. alot of this stuff was heavily inspired by the "drunk" scene from the original animated dumbo! Many of the shots changed and were adjusted right up until the final weeks to ensure the story flowed through the shots whilst at the same time spatially remaining similar to what spidey was experiencing in the real world.. that alone was a challenge for the team. Hope this helps explain some bits for people. I've probably missed some stuff but hopefully it shows that alot more goes on behind what you guys initially see 👍🏽

I love how millions have seen the film but only a handful of people have seen the creators talk about it on KZbin. I have a weird question. Is it possible for the render to change colours however you wanted? i.e.would you be able to make it orange smoke instead of green? I've always wondered how easy it is to do something massive to the project with the smallest of changes to the settings.
@jonasgenova4 жыл бұрын
@@KiLLJoYKZbin I think that colour changing part is done in the compositing stage, they'd probably use some kind of "pass" to dynamically change the colour or a simple hue/saturation/value effect or node would be enough without re-rendering the shot.

@@peterzettl7963 Having the suit there is a much better reference, plus they'd have to have the mocap tracking cameras on every stage.
