Although, now as a adult I do get that it reflects a lot of the reality of some people in general. Even when you're trying to do good in your own way there's always someone who will take the least charitable interpretation of your actions and just run with it until they can't anymore for a variety of reasons and try to paint themselves as the hero. This made me sick. Peter/Spider-Manis far from a perv. This deluded woman is another reason why I will always support Spider-Man. She will never understand why he does what he does. One of the best examples of Spider-Man proving someone wrong is when he teamed up with Emma Frost, one of the most powerful telepaths on the planet. At first she was annoyed by him nit taking everything seriously, then she looked into his mind. She was moved to tears by what she saw. All the pain and loss Peter had experienced at such a young age and understood why he makes jokes to lighten the mood and make everyone feel safe. She immediately apologised to him. And this woman would to if she was able to understand him, but she can’t and that’s sad.

“Nothing important happened today” It shows she’s still in her delusion. She could have easily have said she met Spider-Man’s widow and learned the truth. She regrets ever going after him. But no. It’s basically the end of “all quiet on the western front”
@gamester5125 ай бұрын
I interpret it as her realizing that nothing she ever did had any real importance. And thus, her life never had any meaning, as MJ said. And thus, by saying that "Nothing important happened today.", Vanna is acknowledging that her entire life has been worthless, and that she had thoughtlessly squandered the gift of life that Spider-Man had fought so hard for, even when Vanna was a total stranger to him. Essentially, I see it as her finally understanding that not only did her life never amount to anything, but she had wasted whatever potential she may have had to do something truly great by wallowing in her own delusion that Spider-Man was stalking her. And she failed to realize the truth until it was far, far too late. And that realization has left her feeling....empty. I wouldn't have been surprised if the end of this comic was shown in another panel of Vanna's grave, possibly indicating that the realization had stripped her of her will to live to the point that she may have passed away that very night.

A paranoid girl gets a restraining order against Spider-Man and of course, the only guy dumb enough to believe such a delusion would be J.Jonah Jamison The head of a newspaper also so delusional, no matter how much the facts are that Spider-Man is trying to help never get through his skull.
@thundercricket46344 ай бұрын
I couldn't tell you exactly what issue it was, but I do remember reading a Spider-Man comic when I was younger in which he and Jonah were somehow shackled together at the wrists with a device that would explode if they tried to remove it. Spidey had to drag Jonah all over the city to find and catch up with the guy who'd done it to them and get them both freed, and Jonah was whimpering and doomsaying the entire time. At the end, after Spidey had left Jonah back in his office, Jonah confessed out loud that Spider-man humbled him, because he was the one who didn't give in to despair and instead drove himself to save his own life, and the life of a man who slandered him. I'm pretty sure Jonah never believed his own press. He was a bitter, hateful, spiteful little man who recognized someone else had a more noble spirit, and tried to destroy him for reminding him how small a creature he really was.

I am pretty sure the judge only gave it to the woman just so she can leave and seek help. Like he even doesn’t think issuing a restraining order on a superhero vigilante would do anything

@@BigK13372 Yeah, he straight up said that getting a restraining order against Spider-Man is about as useful as one against martians.

If I remember right, "Nothing important happened today" is also what King George wrote in his diary on July 4, 1776.

20 seconds into the video. "Huh, I wonder why Peter would have to file a restraining order against someone...oh wait it was filed on him? Probably JJJ or some villain..." *A high school student and cheerleader* "Oh no. Oh god Pete what did you do?"

Saw a YT short about this just now and I had to see the full story and it is wild. The short does not do it justice.

Yeah like what are they going to do, arrest him? Police been trying to do that for years with his growing vigilante activities. Not like they would suddenly take him in the moments he is within radius of some random woman

Huh, I wonder what the inspiration was behind this story. Was it supposed to be one of those stories to advise a reader to do something with their life? Maybe display how toxic thinking can affect your life?

Okay i got it. I think it's her acting like this and believing her lies because she has nothing eventful or meaningful going on in her life. That's why she missed the attention she believed Spiderman gave her.

At least Jameson actually does occasionally say something nice about Spider-Man. Heck, his whole grudge against masked vigilantism is due to how his wife died.
