This is kinda off topic but, when that kid posted all those screenshots about Warden and Gavin, why on earth did he HAVE to wait to do it months after people donated all that money to them. If he wanted to do his “revenge” plan, could have done it WAAAAYYYY before people went on to donate so much money. Also, because of this, the other actors that had no involvement with this whole racist thing are getting hate because they were apart of the film, even the kid actor to. There is nothing good at all that came out of this. This 15 year old kid just created a big problem For both Gavin and Warden AND himself. I understand it was wrong what they said, and I’m not gonna sit here and say it was ok for them to say all that racist stuff cause it wasn’t, but literally the only reason the kid posted all that was to see Gavin fall all because not everything went his way and Gavin didn’t help him with his fan film when he was younger, he just wanted to go out of his way to make him look bad and make everyone hate on him while he’s probably sitting on the other side of the screen with that evil smile and watching all this go down. Now this is just what I think and my opinions on it and what not, if y’all disagree on it that’s fine.

I think the costume designers said it best. Other people have put so much work and effort into this project, it'd be a shame to see all that hard work go to waste because of the past actions of two people. They also said they're scared to be proud of their work on this film because they think they'll be associated with racism. Cancel culture has honestly gotten a bit out of hand

I see it as lots of people who worked on the film has left like the vfx artist, the person putting the next trailer and lots of others so now it's all him. What a shit situation. There's nobody to root for here. This'll go down in Internet History as something to learn from, think the Projard accusations. Don't give thousands to a couple teens/young adults. Properly vet these people. Don't hold onto these messages for multiple years. I know there's still promises of updates & such, but I just don't think this is salvageable. There comes a point when you should throw in the towel. If the film comes out - and disappoints - they're made the situation so much worse. If the film comes out - and impresses - it's still handicapped by controversy. There's no winning for the crew anymore. They're gone - they stepped away. This comes out, it's poison to their careers. They're forever linked directly by the 'racist Spider-Man' and that's horrible press anyway you look at it. I'd let the film die quietly & run with the remaining cash. I expect that's exactly what will happen over the coming months - because this is over.

I don't think it's a surprise that he deactivated his twitter account and all of his social media. The human brain isn't meant to deal with hundreds of thousands of people insulting and persecuting you for your past behavior. In fact, good on him Twitter is a hellscape of a site anyways. I'm honestly more concerned with his mental health rather than the optics of the situation. Also, with respect, I do think that you're overreacting and being nit-picky in regard to the "I have been working hard on it" line. If I'm not mistaken, is Gavin not the only individual whose working on editing this project? If that's the case then there's nothing wrong with him stating that he's actively working hard on it. To me that line wasn't meant to be an ego boost that disregarded the work of everyone else but was rather meant to reassure people that the project is still happening and underway. Since this project does seem to give you views, a live reaction and a final video essay reviewing the film/ wrapping up the controversy would be good for your channel!
