Fun fact a luigi's mansion subplot was originally planned in the movie's early concept art it showed luigi standing outside a mansion with two boos but it was cut for unknown reasons, my guess is that nintendo & illumination are keeping that concept art to use for a luigi's mansion movie, charlie day ( who voiced luigi in the movie ) said he'd love to do it & even chris pratt brought it up too

It also helps that Princess Peach's more proactive approach isn't as unusual as people believe. Especially since they didn't add the credit after the backlash, but it ultimately comes across as simply disrespectful to one of the greatest video game composers of all time. A composer who additionally has a insane amount of respect for the Mario compositions and was blown away when he was called on to do arrangements for Mario + Rabbids. Grant is genuinely such a good guy too. Though to Illumination's credit. They did give credit to the individual musicians who performed their original score which is not the norm in Hollywood. Plus the composer who reworked all of Nintendo's tracks clearly had more respect for the video games' original score than any video game movie prior.
