Lisa Bonet NEVER struck me as a victim. She struck me as a woman who lived life on her own terms as an artist to whom celebrity never mattered. In the public eye or not, she lived an art filled life. Y’all want to weep for her missed opportunity fame, but I think of her as an artist in every way.

I remember this well and it unfortunately happens in every industry. I worked in the UK for a specialist corporate bank, and they allowed bullying and ended peoples careers. This was all due to a bully who knew someone who was high up in the bank. Three people of colour from one department within 2 years were effectively 'gotten rid of', and these people were not allowed to speak up due to being labelled unofficially as 'difficilt'. The betrayal from a company/industry that does not appreciate DEI only pretending to treat their staff equally and fairly. With people/industries like this, sooner or later karma vomes knocking without any notice as did to Cosby.

How can/was she "difficult" to work with? She was the BEST character on the show and by far the best 'child' actor/actress. And, to find out she accomplished this all while being mistreated or bullied by her mentors. Pregna t and in college was not a "good look" per Cosby. (Wow) Why? More so when the character was also married. Pregnant women shouldn't enroll? Or, be married in college? What a horrible message. Life is about opportunities. And, they come at different times for different people. Be that true love or time/money to enroll in college. What a horrific message to females ... only wealthy single women should think about attending/enrolling in college. AKA ... at ~ 18 years to 22-24+ years. Anyone else ... don't consider? NO ...

I'm reflecting on growing up and hearing about this in real time. I didn't understand Cosby's stance then, but I think his real life daughters were wayward (as in on drugs, runaways). Maybe not all 4, but two of them had issues. It wasn't widely known because we didn't have social media abd by the time we read the Inquirer or Essence/Ebony magazines, it didn't resonate. 🤷🏾♀️. I believe Bill Cosby wanted his tv family to be the polar opposite of his real family. He wasn't even raised in a two parent household, so the hypocrisy is present. Meaning, he wanted to present us a black people in a positive light and succeeded. He seemed to be obsessed with the fantasy and was too controlling.

I can say that Lisa Bonet was an actual person that I looked up to growing up as a black woman. I was a black girl growing up in a white neighborhood where I was much different than all of my family, my mom used to say I walked to the beat of a different drummer whatever it was Lisa Bonet was my queen. At the time her and Lenny Kravitz weren't together yet but Lenny Kravitz was my king and when they got together it couldn't have been a better force in my life to have such good positive people to look up to. So as Lisa bonet's life has gone along I haven't really followed it because there hasn't been a lot to talk about but everything that I've noticed about her life has been positive good and I learned her parenting patterns and include them in my life so my kids could also grow up seeing the world in a different way. I currently love my life and I still do think that Lisa Bonet is tops, Lenny Kravitz is up there too. Jason Momoa I really liked as well even before he got together with Lisa Bonet but since that whole thing with Johnny Depp and his crappy co-star I think that he didn't stand up for Lisa Bonet enough or she was trying to manipulate him into a relationship. Anyway I don't even like to say her name, Lisa Bonet deserves all the things just because she stays humble but she also stays on her grind which includes her parenting grind. Unproblematic queen!

But everyone else seem to have resentment towards her. You could see the tension between Bill and Lisa, and also with Phylicia Rashad and Lisa. They even wrote lines that took shots at her like she was dense. Like for example: Claire says Little girl how dense can you be? Then when she tried not to go back to school so tell her that she’s afraid to try. And how she forgot to answer the letter for her and her husband Martin’s on base apartment. They made her seem almost dumb. They really dumb down her character, anyone noticed that but me.
