Yeah, I like that Hazbin Hotel has character traits tied to which period the demon lived in on Earth. Alastor with the old timey seixsm. The reporter lady being like "I don't touch the gays". I mean they're very clearly horrible people, but they're also horrible people influenced by the time/place they lived in. It's clearly well written and a lot of thought was put into the characters. There's less demons in Helluva boss so maybe that's why it didn't come up so much there.
