Great analysis! I personally don't agree with Keeper, but that could be subjective and dependent on play styles. My least favourite are Earth (I don't find him interesting) and Fangs (he's interesting, but not efficient enough). One thing you forgot: the best Major power for Rampant Green: The jungle Hungers! For 3 cost killing all explorers and towns and 1 city is phenomenal (especially since you'll always be triggering the Threshold) PS: Totally agree on your Top 3 spirits with the caveat that the 2nd and 3rd are the reverse for me. :)

Hi, just found your channel. Great video, very informative analysis of the spirits. I hope you do one of these videos for jagged earth comparing them to all the other spirits as well. Nice video with nice insights. But I feel a spread of green is undervalued here. As a solo spirit it is solid being able to prevent builds and defend while slowly building up towards more destructive based minors or a single major. For team games he is the ultimate companion. Giving other spirits another groth evry 2nd turn really let's them shine and enables them to do what they do best. Should be at least top 3.

Enjoyed the video! I recommend you try Serpent+BoDaN pairing: - Aegis is really efficient since BoDaN doesn't kill invaders and only positions Dahan to do so - Serpent can provide extra card plays to get around BoDaN's limited bottom track - Reliably defend at least 3 territories every turn with Aegies + Bodan's defensive ability - Symbol granting cross-synergy is really really satisfying!

Good call, that's only a combo I've see once and it was a four player game. It'd be really interesting to try those two in a two player. Perhaps I'll feature it in a future two-handed solo game. Thanks!

I don't think Keeper has a presence placement problem. Are you aware of the double presence growth strategy?

Does that involve triggering both presence placement growth options to place a sacred site at the cost of 2 energy (net)? I can see that working although doesn't that negate the advantage of your strong energy track?

@@cardboardasmr869 I think the main point is that Keeper has the best presence tracks of any spirit. Effective use would be to ALWAYS end a turn with at least 2 energy left over so you're ramping up really fast with double presence. It pays off sooner than you think!

@@sporkaccione4444 Truth. Turn 6 starting with 7 energy per turn and 5 plays+reclaim one (one reclaim growth in between, 4 double placement turns, and turn 1), other spirits wish they were him.

Nice summary. Mostly agree with much of your analysis. I've got to say, Pent-up Calamity has to be the absolute best card for Serpent. 3 energy makes it repeatable, and is amazing to play every turn with the reclaim one. The threshold is very easy to hit for Serpent, since fire and moon start off your tracks. The effect can stop a build, nuke a land, or cancel a ravage. All in fast. The elements? Everything you need for your high-level innate, AND plant for waking up faster.

I love all the spirits and how they are unique. Shadows is the one I played the least so it's also the one I like the least. I looove the 4 spirits from Branch and Claw, they are so fun to play. Ocean and River are really powerful together, same as Ocean and Nightmare. I really love also how the spirits interact with each other. Serpent and Earth are so great together. Well, I love the game !!!! And I can't wait to try the new ones.

what do you think about shadow like a flicker flame with new aspects ? :D because i think he became amazing with it :D. Add a strife when you place presence or the special rules who allow you to move your presence constantly ?

Your top 2 are my top 2 for all the same reasons. I feel vindicated. And while I love River, I mostly just like it cuz of how it supports my hungry boi and my stomping lady. I love fangs as well. For Speaker, I just really love the card that turns invaders into Dahan. It usually has low return on investment, but I always like to play it when I can. Usually better for River to get it and use it so Speaker can do her thing, but eh. I just love this game. One of only 2 I will play solo.
