Based on her singing voice, I did NOT expect her speaking voice to sound so deep. But now her scream tone makes SO much sense. It also shows how good her breathe support is when she sings.

I lost my best friend to Covid in February. I had shared Spiritbox with her a few months before that, and talked about how obsessed I was with them. I was thinking of her and listening to music one day and Constance came on and I just LOST it. It just made so much SENSE. All of these loses in my life. Like a slow moving coup. This song will forever be a huge part of my life. Until it's played at my funeral one day. RIP K.L

I text my terminally ill wife every day while I have to work. Most days she doesn't reply. The pain of that loss of basic relationship stuff you take for granted is immeasurable. But sometimes she replies. I cry at getting a glimpse of that relationship back if for just a moment for just a day.

Verse chorus verse chorus bridge chorus. Most Spiritbox songs follow that formula. I’m the biggest heavy metal fan but people forget that a lot of metal bands like Spiritbox and bigger name bands like Slipknot literally follow the same pop/rock music formula.
@ensco7
@ensco7 2 жыл бұрын
@kettlemagic It's not just about the structure. I think that's the last bullet point to check when I'm trying to put a piece of music into a genre. But I agree that their earlier work, which I consider prog Metalcore, had more structural differences than their new stuff, which is basic modern Metalcore or Alt Rock.

All I can say is this song is HEAVY on so many levels I lost my dad early 2018 and I’m still unable to cope with this situation. I’ve been having this song on repeat for almost three days now and I let out a lot of what was building up inside me hearing your story about your grandma. I hope we all could find solace and comfort in such wonderful pieces of art. I’m sure if my dad was around, he’d also love this song as much as I do…

I understand everything she is saying. I just recently found the band as a suggestion from hurt you, lovely find, I love so many songs by them. Constance is so beautiful and her voice is so beautiful in it as well and I lost my dad back in may this year from liver failure.. he was a bad alcoholic and couldn’t stop drinking but when he was close to death he suddenly stopped.. then he got cirrhosis of the liver. The emotions of suddenly losing a loved one is something that’s hard to wrap your head around I expected him to die sooner or later from his habit but it happened so suddenly. My mom and him danced to champagne supernova the first night they met and that was their song. We played that as he died in the house during hospice we were fortunate enough to be with him at home instead of him being stuck at the hospital from covid. Music is such a powerful coping mechanism and I cry my heart out to the song they met to and this song makes me feel not so alone when I feel empty knowing I’m not gonna see him again. My condolences to everyone who lost a loved one and stay safe 😓❤️

Constance makes me cry because my grandmothers name was constance, and she died with/of(?) dementia. Shit hits hard. Well then... I knew it was about her grandmother... but I had no idea the song and video were also based on that as well... oof 7 month later edit: when it comes to screaming in songs... I like it all. I like it when there's little screaming, but it's used to emphasize something... I like it when it's nothing but screaming. I like it when it's nothing but singing. As long as it's done tastefully, I love it all. Just happens that a lot of people do it tastefully now... and nowhear near as cringy sounding as it did in the early 00's

It's true. You can't be the new band forever. BUT in today's modern short attention span world BMTH in my opinion have been new since 2004. I think Spirit Box will be the same :) such a good band!!

It made me cry because I am so far away from my grandma who has dementia and is in a memory care facility. Her mother and her sister died of Alzheimer's disease. I know she will most likely not ever remember who I am and I try to hold onto the memories I have with her but it gets hard sometimes.
