You are correct, may I please suggest the Catholic Lighthouse CD called Religionless Spirituality; a talk given by Dr Tim Gray. It is possible that you may find it on KZbin, as I have seen other "lighthouse " talks there....talks by Tim Staples, John Bergsma, Tim Gray, Edward Sri, Brandt Pitre, Steve Ray, and Scott Hahn, etc.. Also, I just listened to one of these CD'S, a talk by Scott Hahn on the issue of the day....no one is in hell, and hell may not even exist ....what nonsense! Bishop Robert Barron likes to push this heresy down our throats. .. well, the title of the talk is Why is there hell? Anyway, someone put a little disclaimer at the end stating that only God knows the destination of the soul of Judas. WELL, IF YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD, GOD HIMSELF SAID, IT WOULD BE BETTER IF HE HAD NEVER BEEN BORN! That doesn't sound like destination Heaven to me. I would truly suggest all of the Catholic Lighthouse CD'S. They are so wonderful! !!!! I feel that when I was growing up in the early 70s, this notion of keep your religion to yourself, religion is private, etc., is what was put into place by the wicked men in the hiarchy, in order to squash any questions or concerns that the people may have had with the changes that came from Vatican ll. I began to realize these troubles when I read the story of Bella Dodd. With the help of the most Venerable Archbishop Fulton J Sheen, she repented and told her story of how she help communists and homosexuals infiltrate the church. Really? ??? My mom told me that when the Vatican 2 council was over, her generation was told never to question anything and that the Vatican documents are so above your heads, you would never understand it anyways. Wow, talk about suppression of the mind. They were literally like robots, obeying orders. I am so glad that this whole sexual abuse thing is coming out and we need to claim our Catholic Church back! We need more reverence and quiet prayerful worship in our sanctuaries, along with the body of Christ in the tabernacle back on the high alter, where he belongs!!! Also, the abuse of the use of Eucharistic ministers needs to stop. The alter rail needs to come back , the missing kneelers need to come back....... One last thing I would recommend reading is a document commissioned by Pope John Paul II on the abuses taking place during the litergy of the Eucharist and his demand that these abuses stop. Cardinal Arinze talks about these abuses on KZbin. The document is called Redemptionis Sacramentum and this document is mostly ignored by American Bishops and priests. God bless you!

As my personal understanding that James is implying that to the church members as their neighbors and once they do practice that in church, then the church knows that they do practice charity outside of the church. The world needs to see the love (charity) within the church to know that God is with them. And yes, this is still happening today. This well-known slogan, "I'm spiritual, not religious." Is a very tricky thing that the old Devil knows that this is one of many of his tricks up in his sleeves. This can be applied to the New Agers since they do say the same thing.

They are very vocal about this in social media. If you read the comments against Holy Father in their You tube videos, it is sheer hooliganism of so called Christians. *Judgement day awaits them based on their own writings, speeches and horrendous comments.* Church is a militant church in this world, however, this militancy is misunderstood as attacking holy father and almost all of his writings, twisting his every word out of context, and spreading calumny against him at every given opportunity. It is like fighting a batttle for the King- Jesus Christ- yet refusing to obey the captain in the battlefield. *What would happen?, even by the standard of this secular world, for such a disobedience ?* *will the King reward those who fight, not alongside, but against the captain at the end of the battle ???* *let those holy and pious, who relentlessly attack holy father, ask this question in front of the blessed sacrament* 🙏🙏

Galatians 2:11-14 Paul Confronts Peter 11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. 12 When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile believers, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore. He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision. 13 As a result, other Jewish believers followed Peter’s hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. When I saw that they were not following the truth of the gospel message, I said to Peter in front of all the others, “Since you, a Jew by birth, have discarded the Jewish laws and are living like a Gentile, why are you now trying to make these Gentiles follow the Jewish traditions? Yep, the pope can be reprimanded and confronted if he is in the wrong side of the faith. It's biblical! 2Tim.2:15 There’s one verse in the bible that tells you to study your bible and rightly dividing the word of truth (KJV). The whole book is the word of truth but it’s not all your truth. Somethings belongs to Israel, somethings belong to the body of Christ, that’s why it must be rightly divided. You need to have an intelligent understanding of God’s word. (Times past=Genesis- acts 9 ) (Now=Romans- Phil.)(Ages to come =Hebrews to Rev.) the Bible cannot contradict itself. In other words, it seems like people now want faith to just be a mental acceptance where the Gospel writers seem to use the word more like faithfulness or fidelity. When a spouse is worried his or her other half may be unfaithful, the question is not about what that other half believes. In the Marine Corps, the motto is semper fidelis. @rohag7355 жыл бұрын
@@AveChristusRex Orthodox History Begins with Pentecost Much of what occurred in the early years of the church has been documented in the New Testament. Officially, the history of the church begins at Pentecost, which is documented in the Acts of the Apostles and took place in 33 A.D. During Pentecost, the Holy Spirit descended on the Apostles and the people who had gathered and they began to speak in tongues. Today, the Orthodox Church celebrates this event fifty days after Pascha. Apostles Travel to Spread Christianity In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus gave the Apostles what is known as “The Great Commission” amongst Biblical scholars. In that passage, he told them to “go, make disciples of all nations.” Filled with the Holy Spirit, the Apostles traveled extensively to lead people to Christ and to build churches. The Apostle Paul, for example, traveled to Asia Minor, Greece, and even to Rome. Persecution and Martyrdom of Christians It was also during this time when Christians were heavily persecuted and martyred. Though persecution and martyrdom of Orthodox Christians still happens today, it was a very frequent occurrence during the first few hundred years of the Church. Yet, despite that, the number of believers continued to grow. Emperor Constantine I - Constantine the Great Emperor Constantine I is listed as a saint in the Orthodox Church because he legitimized Christianity in the Roman Empire and made persecution of Christians illegal. In 313 A.D. he enacted the Edict of Milan, which stated that Christians would be able to practice their faith without harm or oppression. A Christian himself, he declared his faith when he was around forty years old. Prior to this Edict, the Roman Empire was one of the heaviest persecutors of Christians and many of them were martyred. The Byzantine Church Emperor Constantine moved his residence to a new city, which he named Constantinople after himself. Eventually, Constantinople became the capital of Byzantium, which is where the Byzantine Church eventually had its center. Later on, the Turks renamed the city Istanbul and the head of the Orthodox Christian Church is still located there today. The Orthodox Christian Church has a rich history, which has its roots with Jesus. When He commissioned His Apostles to “make disciples of all nations,” they traveled the world to form churches. The Orthodox Church that exists today is the same one that the Apostles set up over two thousand years ago.
