This guy is the real deal when he talks on the inner path. Listen to him as it’s the path we all walk as we “go within”. Don’t discount his ideas as they are EXPERIENCE based, not based on theological concepts or 2nd or 3rd hand experiences. This is most important in meditation. Don’t listen to wannabes, but doers ! I know fakes and spiritual frauds of all descriptions having travelled the East and involved in this area of experience since 1980. This gentleman is not one of them. He has done the hard work, put in the hours and knows his stuff. How do I know this ? Because I’ve followed the same path and had to work it out all for myself and came to the same conclusions based on EXPERIENCE!!! Never take someone’s word for anything in spiritual matters, but put it to the test and it either works or it doesn’t. Love and light has a tendency to build on itself and you start to recognise a theme or a feeling and your journey continues. Good luck everyone in their spiritual endeavours: it is your highest calling !

Forrest, as others have already expressed: this is exactly what I needed to hear! Great, useful video. - Your Gita interpretation is very easy to understand. - "Authoritarian meditation". Yep. I've been dealing with that. Discussed it recently with a fellow meditator. We wondered about establishing a "bare minimum" meditation. Thanks for your comments on this! - Burn out: Been trying to deal with it. In a previous video, you gave me a clue on how to banish burn out. You talked about a time when you had a feeling of "oh wow". I have begun to AWAKEN that feeling just prior to meditation. This puts me in a positive mood and SLOWS DOWN my mental chatter. It has improved the quality of my meditation. Thank you for all your helpful videos!

I love your life explanation of the honey cave, or the inverted well or crooked tunnel which we call it, plus the ringing radiance that comes. I relate to how nobody could help you understand this phenomenon. I had this issue plus when my kundalini awakened I was on my own. Found a library book which explained it all. Even the most painful of headaches. But otherwise, all the so-called experts and Kundalini Yoga teachers couldn’t help me. I thought I’d end up in a psych ward but I had enough patience to see it through. The open of the honey cave into the ground laden light is then the most amazing experience. Travelling to other worlds through inter dimensional space is very confronting. It’s a whole new world for us to explore. Keep on with your videos, they give help to many. The “how” to do the meditation still rests in the master/disciple relationship and everyone finds what they are looking for. Good work !

I used to be so frustrated at early stages... Even though I used to feel prathyahara, I was not sure if I'm in the right track; because of lack of a sign to measure the progress. Thanks for introducing me to HRV, now it's a reliable sign to measure my progress...😊 But now, what's the next step? Holding my awareness on something?

That is so wonderful!! This is a big deal to me. We need to road signs to inform us where we are. ... The next step is OM Japa in the chakras in order to still the projections of the limbic brain. Then, when we are face to face with the spiritual eye, with the breath in a tranquil state, we can let go and surrender by dilating the eyes.

@ForrestKnutson
@ForrestKnutson 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Amanda, interesting question! Fresh air and sunlight in the morning is very stimulating. The light will actually burn up the melatonin in the body, and wake you up. ...I just did a video recently on the Fire Breath. If you were to do that breath very quickly, and not make the outbreath longer, then it would stimulate the sympathetic system very quickly. ...One more thing you can do is quickly pat down the entire body several times. This will stimulate a certain level of nerves in the skin, and wake up the whole brain.

Thankyou Forrest. Very encouraging. I like the Herculean reference. This endeavour sometimes does feel impossible. But your videos have really helped me to accelerate my progress. The information that I have received from you which I have put into practice has given me confidence in my yogic capabilities. Im now sometimes bringing my consciousness deeply into regions of my spine generally in chakra zones. It feels a little exhilarating when it happens. The HRV breathing techniques (e.g. myCalmBeats) is one of the best things I have received from you. Just 2 minutes of it can bring me deep within. I often do it along with tongue relaxation (e.g. Kechari mudra). This accelerates the process.

13:15 is it really okay if the person says all those things, isn't that the wrong way, I am really confused. So the meditation should be done with ease and meditate when feeling like it, otherwise it's the left brain right? What if the person has the reason to push himself 20 minutes longer and at the end he feels accomplished, and comfortable with what he has done, is that still okay? Or no matter the reason to continue the next 20 minutes he shouldn't push himself to the point that he starts feeling uncomfortable. And in goenka retreats there is this uncomfortable feeling related with the dark night of the soul, should a person reach that state, is that the wrong way to do it.

Forrest ji, For spiritual survival shall we do just 6 Kriya pranayams alone. I have been told that the impurities will raise if we don't do Navi kriya and maha mudra along with Kriya pranayams. And doing all takes near to 1.5 hrs for me... So stuck with inconsistent practice from my end..
@ForrestKnutson
@ForrestKnutson Жыл бұрын
You have to make your practice flexible enough that you can do a short session when needed. If you are doing OM Japa in the kriya, then it will not raise impurities. Of course, if we can do navi first, it is ideal. But when you only have five minutes, then just do what you can to maintain your practice.

Hello Forest Knutson, Do you think if anyone who has energy imbalance issues if he/she goes to any highly evolved Master, will Master be able to fix things in one go? Or one has to do certain exercises and it will take time to fix this issue. I need to know your views on this.
@ForrestKnutson
@ForrestKnutson 4 жыл бұрын
Hi Kartik, it's possible that a teacher, or an energy worker can provide help. It's also possible that they won't be able to. Depending on the imbalance, the nature of the individual, and the experience of the helper. I believe that solo exercises are of great benefit to restore balance, however this needs much more testing to prove reliable. Vitamins D and B12 should be taken and trace minerals. Neurotherapy has proven a reliable remedy, but costs money.

I'm thinking about getting initiated by Sadhguru, but he is teaching a different yoga from Lahiri Mahasaya. Is there any enlightened master who initiates people into kriya yoga? I've heard many masters say that doing yoga and meditation without a guru is a waste of time since the probability to get enlightened by yourself is minuscule.

During the great war of Kurukshetra sometimes Pandavas had the upper hand and sometimes Kauravas. Meaning pravriti and nivriti tendencies will be against each other until mind gets a bit stable,ie. nivriti becomes slightly stronger by weakening pravriti tendencies(which doesn't mean a smooth sail even at that point, but it should get easier). Don't be discouraged, but rather do what Forrest suggested, build it little by little. It's a sound advice. Good luck.

For those that come and see me I initiate and kriya on a one-to-one and face-to-face basis. As the traditional manner had me promise. I do this through the Panchanan Bhattacharya lineage, which has preserved the kriya and its original format so very well. So Long Beach is a little bit far from Toronto, but not so far perhaps with time. In the meantime I hope you will take my advice on this channel about HRV breathing and OM Japa. Hi Forrest, it is said one needs a ‘human’ guru to really progress. Please share your thoughts. I know in one of your videos you said the guru is within us..Krishna....

Hi Reena! It's really both. We often need direction, and correct techniques, and then eventually we need the inner direction that comes through contact with the Right Hippocampus.

I don't understand what you mean by doing a minimum of 6 KRIYAS . is this saying om into your first 6 shakras?

Hey Frank! What I meant was six full breath so in breath and out breath equals 1 breath. Six of those.

@@ForrestKnutson Thank you so much for this clarification! So six breaths in 5 Minutes, that was your minimum daily praxis? Generally speaking: The slower, the better? Or is there an optimum somewhere? I was initiated with 45 seconds per breath, which would equal 4.5 minutes for 6 breath. And 12 times 12 breaths would add up to 108 minutes.

HELP - TINNITUS Thanks yogi Forrest: I struggle to survive. But in meditation I have this problem: tinnitus. In 'The Living Gita', Sri Swami Satchidananda after sloka 6:13 comments: "let your awareness be right in the middle of the head" (p.85) while you "Repeat 'om' - think omni [-present, -scient, -potent; Absolute, Spirit, Self]" (p.86). But I have tinnitus on both ears: two barely different high pitches. So even 1 minute is hard. The tones, more than thoughts, get louder and I want them to go away. But of course, they won't. So how to concentrate on Absolute Omni Om in the middle, when there's such penetrating noise on both sides just next by? I vaguely remember a Zen master book: if a distant waterfall disturbs you, seek Zen in it. Well I have two full throttle jet engines .

Jorn! A doctor has confirmed that Tinnitus is a breakdown of the bone around the ear nerve as it passes through the skull. A colloidal calcium/ magnesium can reverse this. What I use: bit.ly/31s7os6
