I’m so used to nobody knowing about FC that it’s a little bizarre to hear someone else talk about it lol. I saw it for the first time ~9 years ago and it has definitely stuck with me as well, “atmospheric power” is exactly right.

I love this two masterpieces, specially A Tree of Palme. The magical, and sometimes surreal, aesthetic; the feelings it gave me... Is hard to explain. This guy serves as an inspiration for my future aspirations as an animator.

I started watching anime coz of FC. The music and story. That portrait. The reason of why those characters did what they did was understandable even back when i was 12yrs old. Specially the part where thoma remembers his past. Is seriously something else.

I did watch both, and am mildly frustrated there is no Palme Bluray. I also believe both works is the creator trying to tell largely the same story, hence the similarities.
