I don’t know if you’ll have time to manage getting around reading all of your comments, but if you do happen to read this... I want to say thank you. Thank YOU, John Butler. You’ll say it’s not all about you of course, and that’s true in a way, but I speak truthfully when I say if it weren’t for you, it might’ve taken me another three decades to finally have peace of mind. Not that fake illusion of peace we fool ourselves into believing so often, but real peace. I have struggled with depression and suicidal thoughts for my entire adult life, but for the first time I’m feeling that darkness being left far behind me along with all those worrisome questions. 😭😭😭 Thank you.
@iamradical4 жыл бұрын
How did you get peace of mind? I have also had to put up with depression for the last 15-20 years and I’m just a blank canvass, an empty vessel I guess.
@divinity4infinity2664 жыл бұрын
It’s been a very long process. I think the peace in my mind started growing when I stopped asking the questions that no one had answers to. I stopped trying to control things, including my own anxiety and depression. I just stopped trying to fix everything. It’s not something that happened right away, and I’m still a work in progress but I find my mind is less of a danger to me when I work with it, instead of against. Acceptance of the here & now, I believe is how we start to ease our minds. Sorry if that’s a bit incoherent or confusing! It’s rather difficult to put into words, just the nature of it, and I think it’s a bit different for all of us, we will each have our own experience when we start meditating and looking for a higher consciousness to connect with. I wish you the very best!

This man has more patience then Job. Personally I’m not so patient. I would say the need for answers only leads to more questions which result in YOU NOT BEING PRESENT! Sit down, zip your mouth, close your eyes or don’t and just listen! 🤣 This practice PHYSICALLY changes your brain. Both hemispheres of the brain come together as a team rather than adversaries . Your brain shifts into higher frequencies . As you make more quantum space by this discipline, you inevitably make more room for greater things to come. I wish I could express how profound the changes that have occurred since I , personally, chose to finally quiet my mind. Worth the effort. JUST DO IT!👍 ♥️♥️

I've read Jobs account - how on earth could you compare this guy to what happened to him? Makes no sense, maybe it's just an expression. If so its not a very good one. Either way - so what and have a great day.

@Youbarkimeow4 жыл бұрын
@@TaxemicFanatic I don't actually feel weird I'm just different from most but I've been labelled weird, maybe I worded it wrong.
@TaxemicFanatic4 жыл бұрын
@@Youbarkimeow you may have read my question wrong too. I did not ask the question "do you really feel weird" or "why do you feel weird", but by who do you refer when you say "I'm different"? You mention the word "I" several times, relating it directly to a feeling. Go deeply into this I and nature of it. Can the I of infinite, irreducible awareness really feel alone?
@robertm.-certifieddaytrade49394 жыл бұрын
TaxemicFanatic Very profound! And I agree. The “I” that is who we truly are is god-like and can not be lacking anything, anymore than God himself can!
@Youbarkimeow4 жыл бұрын
@@TaxemicFanatic I understand your question thank you for clarifying it for me but me mentioning I'm is just me referring to myself, I don't feel alone and choose to actually be by myself I don't particularly fine too much human company very comforting to me I much rather prefer the company of animals. However with that said it's the only time I've been without an animal so in that sense I am lonely only from not having an animal's company.

Please don’t get frustrated or jaded because of all of the questions Mr. Butler. I’m not good at meditating or ‘being present’, but your videos are a source of comfort for me anyway. You seem to genuinely care about the world and about people. Believe me there are thousands of people like me who watch/listen to these videos just to hear a comforting message from a familiar voice, and not necessarily because they have specific questions they need answered. Please make these videos for as long as you can stand to.

Agreed, the rat-race will do that. And to be reasonable requires one to reason(wrestle) with there Demons and in the process discover ourselves and see things for what they are...generally for NOT, yet still vital for growth to overcome. Friend, GOD is the creator of ALL, both Good and So called Bad. But in Reality there is niether because one is merely the seperation of the other and merely a correction of itself. ONLY GOD is GoOD and therefore we are merely subjects to it(nature)... Be Blessed

we're creatures that seek meaning in a environment that simply *is* when we're born we don't name or label- we're simply aware and curious once we learn names, we associate- and all the things become the same: a tree becomes like all the trees because it have the same name, foolish! humans can't understand the world- be aware, be curious like you once were not just of the environment, be aware of the thoughts: _here it comes, here it goes_ once you become aware of thoughts, your brain becomes naturally attentive once you become attentive inwards, you become attentive outwards the brain becomes full of life, you can be aware of everything inside and outside this doesn't come true a technique you're told, no one can teach you- it's in you to have a quiet brain you must have a brain that is totally aware, totally awaken what john's is telling is that humans can't see things using words / questions
