Gloogas on the surface seem underwhelming. But if you go through the time, effort and pain to master them, you'll be the master of the cheesiest Dualie kills in the game. It's a rough time learning the ins and outs of these power tools, but if you dedicate your full patience, you'll be an unstoppable machine. But, there's no better way to start than with some tips from a relatively experienced user. One of the keys to using the Gloogas is utilising their unique set of tools in ways that can obliterate your enemies easier. Gloogas have access to subs you won't find on any other type of dualies. Ink mines aren't great, but when used well can turn a 2 shot into a one shot with MPU. Splash wall is argueably the most underrated sub in the game in my opinion, as you can hide behind it after rolling to turret mode in somewhat safety. (ALSO, USE SPLASH WALL ON GOBY ARENA IN CLAM BLITZ. IT COMPLETELY BLOCKS THE PATH IN THE SMALL CORRIDOORS) Fizzy bomb can also be used in some cases to set up for easy kills, although I'd recommend being careful when preparing to throw, as Glooga strafe speed is very poor, even when not firing. Kensa Gloogas also are the only pair of Dualies with access to Ink armour, making it one of the better support options amongst Dualies. Another major thing is that you very rarely want to engage enemies without rolling. Rolling can be risky but you have some of the quickest kill times in the game to fall back on so the risk may be worthwhile. If you must engage enemies while strafing, you don't always want to centre the middle of the screen on them, but rather try for one of the reticles. With enough MPU (which I'll get to later) you can catch someone retreating with the strafe shot after they're weakened by one shot from turret mode. However, in some circumstances, it's not always optimal to roll and you can still stay mobile and get the kill or trade often while in strafe mode. Bear in mind that you have a long delay after rolling twice before you can move again, so be careful around Chargers, Blasters or Splatlings who will punish you if you fail to position correctly. One tip I can give you especially, is that Gloogas (like most mid range weapons) work best at the middle to edge of their range. After the roll, they have higher range than most slayers in the game, and are tied with Dualie Squelchers for the most range of any Dualies. On top of that, while .96 has an advantage in range, you still have the fire rate advantage if you can approach with sideways or diagonal rolls to cause them to miss. Don't let your foes get too close, or you will miss at point blank due to Gloogas having difficulty aiming up close compared to a Sploosh or something similar. Be careful of Pros and Jet Squelchers, they have more overall range and can kill you just as fast if they get clear shots. Also, Dualie Squelchers are able to match your range and kill you without rolling, so you can counter each other. For gear, I'd recommend between 1-3 subs of Special Charge. This is mainly important if you want to provide support with Kensa Gloogas or attack with the Baller or Inkjet. The Gloogas all have fairly low special requirements, so they usually get them more than most weapons (most notably compared to baller on Kensa Dualies). Also, just like the video says, use the MPU tactic to make your life easier. ISM is also a massive key to being successful. Ink recovery is also somewhat helpful, as in some cases Gloogas may have to go several instances with not much time to regain ink in a pinch. If you can fit in at least one sub of ink resistance, do so, as Gloogas already suffer from poor enough mobility as is. If I had to recommend a kit, it depends on your playstyle. If your looking for a weapon with similar equivelent tools to the Kensa .52 and Deco .96, the Deco Gloogas are the way to go as a great choice for varying types of combat. The Splash walls and baller are great for holding position, or outright saving yourself and killing several enemies with relative ease. If you're looking for a decent Dualie support, consider picking up the Kensa Gloogas. Their Fizzy bombs, decent range and ink armour make them the *glue* that can hold up a team in a rough spot (I'll see myself out). I don't really recommend the Vanilla Gloogas all too much, but if you like them, more power to you. And that's all the time I've got. Hope this helps you out if you're considering this oddball of a weapon type. Fun fact: The name Glooga Dualies is a pun only present in the English versions of the game. In most of the other terretories, they're called the Kelvin 525 (get it? Kelvin for temperature, 525 for 52.5 damage after rolling) UPDATE: 5.0 will decrease the ink consumption of Gloogas by 6%! THIS IS HUGE!

I don't think kensa glooga's are good at support because of the very bad paint. They don't get armor fast and it is better using a jr or kunder for armor spam. It's only pretty good because fizzy bomb is op. I think the deco's are the best kit because baller is op and wall is very helpful. Vanilla isn't very good because jet isn't very good anymore and mines aren't the best sub to have

Last Ditch Effort makes it so that when the enemy team has pushed the objective past 50, you’ll start getting “AP” of Ink Saver Main, Ink Saver Sub, and Ink Recovery (Note that 3 “AP” is the equivalent of one secondary ability). You’ll get more “AP” the farther the enemy team gets into your base until they reach 30, which is when it maxes out to where you’ll essentially have 8 secondary abilities of Main Saver, Sub Saver, and Ink Recovery. If you’re in Turf War, the ability will automatically reach maximum power once there’s 30 seconds left. This ability is useful for main and sub weapons that consume a lot of ink and for when your teammates are trash and practically let the other team get past 50 and beyond.

Vanilla Glooga main here! Reminder that every weapon can be deadly if given enough practice. I personally run Comeback and Drop Roller (I'll get to the reason why in a second!) and one main of Run Speed Up, and 9 mains of Run Speed Up as well. Now you may be thinking, "why Comeback?" well for one, the V-Gloogas are Slayer weapons with Midline capabilities. Getting splatted is inevitable, but Comeback turns that penalty into a bonus; Comeback activates after getting splatted by another player, and for the first 20 seconds after respawning will give the player one main of Ink Saver (Main), Ink Saver (Sub), Ink Recovery Up, Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, and Special Charge Up. Makes getting splatted a little less bad, eh? So, you've respawned with your new buffs. Since you're a Slayer, you should probably get right back into the middle of the action, right? That's where Drop Roller comes into play. Now you're thinking "But these are Dualies! Can't you just start firing and roll immediately as you land?" well, you can. But remember: Gloogas are slow. That means their dodge roll is slow, too. Drop Roller is not hindered by the Gloogas' slow fire rate and dodge roll, *and does NOT have a period of immobility after rolling.* this is IMPORTANT, as with Gloogas if you roll as soon as you land, you're probably not making it out of there unless you actually splat your opponent(s) as soon as you roll. Gloogas have a long period of immobility after rolling (about a full second long!) so rolling as you land effectively just sets your super-jump point slightly farther away rather than provided an escape option. Drop Roller also gives you one main of Run Speed Up, Swim Speed Up, and Ink Resistance for three seconds after landing! Something else to note is that *Drop Roller can activate after landing from Inkjet* , making it particularly viable for the V-Gloogas. Last on my ability list is Run Speed Up, which is a person choice of mine and really only good for the V-Gloogas in particular. Why? Well *a lesser known feature about Run Speed Up is that it affects the speed of the Inkjet;* And since V-Gloogas should really only be used by people who know how to use Inkjet, Run Speed up is GODLY. It's also useful for getting around the Gloogas' low mobility! Now, the biggest tip I can offer to mastering the Gloogas is, and I cannot stress this enough, *is learning when and when NOT to dodge roll.* After a dodge roll, the Gloogas can become _devastating_ . so you might be thinking "why wouldn't I want to dodge roll?" Well for one, Gloogas are slow, so you might not get a chance to move again, which brings me to my second point: *after taking a step, the reticles will unmerge and the bonuses from dodge rolling will be LOST.* This means you will no longer have extended range or do enough damage to splat in two hits! So unless you know where you're rolling and land in a good spot, it's game over. and third and final point: *Accuracy.* More accuracy is better, right? You would think. But the thing is, after dodge rolling, the Gloogas have *100%* accuracy.* meaning, unless you hit your target spot on, *you will miss.* which, when compounded with the fact that Gloogas have a slow fire rate, means that it is GAME OVER unless you're a good shot. When in close corners, it is much better not to dodge roll and just keep firing, as you don't run the risk of being splatted before you can finish your dodge roll and you have a better chance of hitting your target without flailing wildly about trying to aim. All in all, are the Gloogas good weapons? ... Not really. But this doesn't mean they're not extremely dangerous if handled by someone who knows what they're doing. I originally picked them up because they fit with my outfit (the 18k Aviators, Rockin' Leather Jacket, and Blue Moto Boots) and I wanted a gun that would match my aesthetic; so I picked it up on a whim. When I first used them, _I sucked._ that's because I was playing them wrong, which brings me to something very important: *the Gloogas do NOT play like other dualies.* whereas other dualies are mobility oriented and quick hit 'n run weapons, the Gloogas are _not._ They're much more akin to a mobile turret or tank than anything else. The Gloogas are strange, hard to master, and have a very awkward gimmick, but they are *extremely* satisfying once mastered. If you're not using them to play well, then you're using them to have fun. And that's just what Gloogas are: *Fun.*

(My views as a Deco Glooga Main) Gloogas are also partially based around risk vs reward. Knowing when to commit to a roll and when to stay mobile will often decide whether you survive or get splatted. A good Glooga player rolls a lot, but knows when not to. One of the Gloogas other strongest traits is its kill time, which can often come out of nowhere from deceptively long ranges due to rolling into perfect positioning. Most midline and backline weapons are very weak to Gloogas sneaking up based on the time to splat alone (for example Jet Squelcher, Explosher, Heavy/Hydra/Charger while charging). Gloogas are great at keeping enemies on key vantage points at bay. In terms of weaknesses, Jetpacks are a squid's/octopus's worst nightmare while using Gloogas. You can either consistently take them out, or they move over you and screw up your accuracy before blasting you. Also, don't get too ambitious with splat hunting if you start chasing down your foes. Gloogas can 1v4 sometimes, but it's safer to avoid that situation unless something like defending in Clam Blitz where it can make or break the match. Also, getting rushed at by close range weapons can be a death sentence if you run out of rolls/space to rolls. In desperate situations like those, if you did some damage, you can throw down a fizzy bomb or ink mine last second if you know you're going to die to go for the trade, or attempt to activate Baller or Inkjet (Armour and Splash wall will deploy too slow to help). Those are just my thoughts.

These dualies have been gaining so much potential recently. With the help of it's range buff, to ink consumption buff(s), etc. Now I will admit, I did not like these dualies at first when they first came out. They were pretty weak at first I'll admit, but when the 3.0.0 patch came with the Glooga Dualies Deco, they gained so much potential with the range buff making it much easier to pressure opponents with the turret mode. Then when the Kensa Glooga Dualies came out on the last Kensa weapons set, as well as the main power up ability, the Gloogas received more respect. People do not realize how much of a threat these dualies can be. Yeah, they are slow, but the dodge rolls makes up for part of it. Don't get too impatient with the dodge rolling otherwise you will leave yourself vulnerable. In combat situations, you can try to mix up the dodge roll options, but just make sure you watch your ink tank. The abilities I most likely recommend are: Ink Saver Main Run Speed Up Swim Speed Up Special Charge Up Ink Resistance Up Main Power Up Last Ditch Effort These abilities really help because the speed, ink consumption, as well as the specials are very crucial to the whole run. Glooga Dualies are the most agro of the 3, especially with the inkjet. Ink mines aren't the greatest, but with main power up, it can be beneficial. Glooga Dualies Deco are the most defensive of the 3. With splashwalls, and the baller, this already makes it a safe weapon to use, but the problem is, you need to learn how to manipulate it. Otherwise if not, you are most likely going to have a salty and poignant run. Kensa Glooga Dualies are probably the easiest of the 3 to use, but they are also the most supportive. Ink armor comes in handy when trying to help, as always. Not to be egotistical or anything, but it can also help you to practice pressuring opponents more if you are going all in on the sitch. Now I don't think these are the best dualies, but I do believe a lot of people underestimate these things. These dualies are good for Tower Control, and Clam Blitz, at least, that's what I believe. Yeah, they may be the most difficult to use out of all of the dualies, but they can pay off well, and do some cool janky kills and stuff. It will take time to learn, but once you master these, you'll get to splatting in no time. If anyone else needs tips, they can ask me because I have gold flags on all of the Gloogas in Turf War. Feel free to ask for tips!

Generally, I also find them decent at holding down a Splat Zone, especially with ink mines and splash walls in addition to being able to keep space to ‘turret up’ and hold down the enemies trying to rush back to the zone.

I call the Deco variant "Gloocos". About LDE the ability was buffed to start activating when the other team's counter reaches 50 with a weak effect that grows the lower the counter goes until 30 (Identical to the effect before the buff). It's only good in Splat Zones though.

Rainmaker too because it's easy to get early lead to 40-20 or something so you have a free boost for the rest of the game if something like that happens. It's bad in clams and tower though

You're supposed to roll before you engage the enemy. Even if you don't know whether there's an enemy or not after you round the corner, just roll. You lose nothing but a bit of ink. They're not as ink intensive as you think as they're so slow but powerful you take care of any problem within 5 or so shots.

Last-ditch effort is a hat ability that gives you one main of ink saver main, one main of special charge up, one main of sub saver, one main of run speed and one main swim speed during the last 30 seconds of turf war. If you are playing in rank, it does not activate when there is 30 seconds left on the timer, but when the enemy team has 30 points to claim victory

9:00 Last ditch effort has received some buffs over time in both splatoon 1 and splatoon 2 and it only has taken until the most recent buffs to get people to notice this is a good ability now, heres the buffs. S1(2.6.0): In Ranked, the ability will take effect when the opposing team's counter goes below 30, and during overtime. Now will include 5 subs of Quick Respawn in addition to 5 subs of Ink Saver Main, Ink Saver Sub, and Ink Recovery Up. S2(Base): Now does not include the 5 subs of Quick Respawn, now all remaining abilities now include 6 subs instead of 5 subs. S2(1.4.0): All abilities in Last-Ditch-Effort now include 8 subs of their abilities instead of 6 subs. S2(4.7.0): In Ranked, when the opposing team's counter goes below 50, Last-Ditch effort's benefits will improve gradually until the opposing team's counter goes below 30, when Last-Ditch Effort benefits are maxed out.

As a Glooga Dualie main, the best kit for the Gloogas is probably the Kensa variant. Swim behind your fizzy bomb to get to your opponents quicker since you have a fairly slow weapon. Fizzy Bombs are also helpful in taking out anchor weapons like chargers and splatlings, due to the quick explosions of a fully charged fizzy bomb. Ink armor, while not being the best special, can quickly fill up your ink tank since your weapon is very ink hungry. I play my Gloogas as slayer weapons, although I don’t recommend it unless you are really good with timing your dodge rolls and managing your ink.

Personally, I’m a fan of the kensa gloogas. because fizzy bombs! If I could main fizzy bombs, I would, and running a cosmic duckton of ink saver sub is the way I tend to have the most fun with the Kensa gloogas. Fizzy bombs are seriously underrated, way too many people just dodge expecting a single blast and then get gloo’d as a result. Also, fully charged fizzy bombs are surprisingly good at inking turf due to the little bounce between blasts. You don’t really think about it until you’ve seen it in action.

Bro this weapon is SO GOOD I FELL IN LOVE WITH IT. And yeah to like it you have to master it and a Japanese player helped me do that so thank you japanese player that wins almost all of his X rank games 😁 Though i have the biggest tip for this weapon and it's to roll and stand still so you do a two hit kill and have more accuracy even though you don't move if you do that you will probably see why this weapon is that good. Oh well i guess i had to watch to whole video because now i feel dumb saying something he already said in the first 3 minutes ;-;

If you wanna use the glooga the best way is to roll every time you will kill some one, the three shot mode isn’t the best but the two shot is great cause you’ll hit your shots and it’s a two shot kill

I consider the Glooga Dualies to be a mix of the 5.2 Gal and Luna Blaster Neo, and here's why: In Splatoon 1, the Luna Blaster Neo had Ink Mine and Inkzooka, and here it is again, since I consider Inkjet the closest thing to Inkzooka. And after a dash, your damage is incearsed to 52.5, similar to the 5.2 Gal's 52. And both the Gloogas and the 5.2 Gal fire every 9 frames.

00:42 I don't consider Dualies/Splattershot/N-Zap Short Range since they are the guns defining what range is, they are pretty much Mid Range. Going by that SplatterPro is Long Range, Jet Squelcher is Very Long Range, everything beyond that is Extremely Long Range, with E-Liter being Max Range

I actually found a technique where if you make your damage just high enough with Main power up. You can place an Ink Mine. An opponent falls into and you shoot them once with a roll shot.

The Gloogas are actually pretty good, you just gotta make sure that when you're fighting someone, you should pretty much always be in Murder Mode™, not in Shit Mode™. Because of this you don't even really need MPU. Also Splash Wall on the Decos lets you go into Murder Mode™ for free without having to worry as much about being shot, so they're arguably the best kit. They're honestly kinda like 96 Deco but with a less shitty special.

Last ditch effort in ranked and leauge uses ink saver main ink recovery up and sub saver if the opponents team counter is below 50 and uses some of the amount of abilities, if the opponent team counter is less than 30 the last ditch effort uses the max abilities it can And in turf war and ranked or leauge, the last 30 seconds uses thr max abilities it can use Idk if that makes any sense but that's how I can explain it xD
