Nice job. I usually get a load of logs from the mill delivered to my house and then I split it myself. Usually get 3 winters out of a load. Much cheaper doing it yourself than paying others to do it.

A couple more varieties I like for smoking wood are wild hedge row apple and beech. Hard sugar maple is also great all give off mild smoke flavors excellent for pork and chicken.

i worked at a restaurant that used to get 1 cord of oak every 3 weeks in california. insanely busy place. i like cherry for sure. oak is like california hickery. we get a lot of almond wood from the orchards too.

Always thought wood chips was better for smoking. That the bark itself was where the flavor smell comes from. Myself I like spilting it really nice square and clean. Makes me feel like a Rockafeller

Fruit trees generally are of the hardest wood available, my uncle Gerald used a two-foot cross section of cherry as a block for splitting rock maple and birch, yellow, black and white, without any discrimination!

One thing to add to your pre-flight check, check the tires. Changing a tire on a loaded trailer is a real pain and dangerous.

I think with all these hard to reach areas I would invest in a cab and chassis truck with a dump bed on it, making deliveries that much easier with the reduced length and tighter turning ability. You then could tow a dump behind the truck doubling your volume on one trip when needed.

Nice. Dump truck or trailer is the only way to deliver cord wood. That way you don't get waylaid into stacking the customer's wood for them.

Emerald, the chain on that firewood saw looks to be in a difficult position to sharpen. What chain it uses, how the sharpening's done, how often and the care of that whole machine and so on, might make a good video. Finally, one video without her smile and I am missing Jade already.

Emerald is such a badass in so many ways. She’s not ugly and I mean in any way at all or even a little bit and I’m really glad she carries that big freaking knife with her. I usually watch you guys on my phone and when I saw those powerlines and emerald was tilting the trailer bed and then pulling forward to dump it kind of freaked me out seeing those powerlines but she’s so smart and I know DAD trained her about that stuff but on my little iPhone screen I kind of cringe. I like the way that emerald talks, it’s so careful and calculated. I would love to play with that grappling hook that DAD was on. I’m sure everybody’s sick of it but it would be fun for a while and someday they should put like a teddy bear in there or some thing with a confused look on somebody’s face when they pick it up. How did that get in there? Or maybe Sammy in a harness. I have a stupid sense of humor. I love this channel

During debris cleanup from Hurricane Michael in my area a man and his wife were both killed when a grapple boom contacted an overhead power line. The husband was operating the grapple and electrocuted and when the wife tried to kick him free she was also killed.
