In an era when most students who are forced to learn Sanskrit as second or third language in a few schools in India, are cribbing and cursing why they have to learn a dead language, hats off to you Abhinav and Yang for going all out to promote the great language ! All the best ! Will eagerly await the forthcoming videos -)

Probably because there not taught why they should learn. If I was told is school there is a language that’s more scientific than any other and so precise you can convey anything, I would have understood there are a lot of things we know that have been lost that I can learn if I learn Sanskrit and interpret the words the right way. Shiva will bless anyone who attempts to undertake this language .

There are 3 crore students who learn Samskrit in school, college & veda pathashalas (though majority of them do not speak). "The number is still decreasing "...... But actually the number of volunteers is increasing day by day. So We, karyakartas, should not give a destitute look for the language. Let us say that "the goal to reach may be in crores and the reality is in lakhs yet , the number is INCREASING day by day"....... एषः मम विनम्रा प्रार्थना | वदतु संस्कृतम् , जयतु भारतम्

My exposure to Sanskrit has only been through the musical compositions of the trinity of karnatak music and the hymns of Adi shankaracharya and that of Siddantha Shikhamani of Shivayogi shivacharya, exponent of shakthi vishishta advaitha philosophy. I liked your Ted talk too. God bless you.

+deepak chowdary In fact, I had thought that very long back! :) For Kim Kardashian, it would be this, both question and answer, 2-in-1 : "Kanyaayaaha Naama Kim[?.]" #RegularExperssion #CS Here, it all depends on your tone while speaking to put that as a question or an answer.

The person would ask, "Bhavata: nama Kim". The answer for this would not just be a simple "Kim" It would be something like, "Mama Nama Kimaha:" which might mean "My name is Kim" or it might also mean "What is my name" I suppose Anyway, good question

Excellent Abinav. Namo Namah: Good initative. I liked the lucid way in which you explained. Keep it up. Ideally you should prepare a set of say 12 lessons and upload them at regular intervals so that people would be benefited. Dhanyavadaha:

There is, today, immense interest actually, If only a superficial one in pronouncing terms and mantras of Buddhism and Hinduism. Think yoga and spiritual teachers.

Brilliant job done by the youngsters. Thank you. After the spoken series it would be nice to learn the grammer part of it as well so that one can read sanskrit text and understand the meaning.

Even basic sentences are difficult - Sanskrit is amazing. The ancient Rishis were great.
