I can name a party-based video game that's worse than Sonic Shuffle, and that is Rugrats: Scavenger Hunt for the Nintendo 64. Despite sporting good graphics for the time, having the 1991 series' cast reprise their roles, and limited load times, there are only three boards (the first Mario Party game had eight). Not only that, you only play the board game elements and there are no mini-games at all. Finally, Scavenger Hunt only has four playable characters; Tommy, Chuckie, Phil, and Lil. Sonic Shuffle had eight playable characters; Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big, Gamma, Chao, and Super Sonic. Now, Scavenger Hunt was not developed by Hudson Soft the way the Mario Party series and Sonic Shuffle were. Scavenger Hunt was instead developed by Realtime Associates. Realtime Associates developed such games as the Bug! duology on the Sega Saturn, Normy's Beach Babe-O-Rama on the Sega Genesis, and most infamously, Barney's Hide and Seek Game on the Genesis.

@@FlyingDuckMan360 That was a pretty boring game. The worst party game I ever played was Disney Party for Gamecube.

As someone in the minority of people who genuinely enjoyed Sonic Shuffle, I would love to see it get a sequel for modern consoles. Here are things I would like to see in Shuffle 2: 1. The Same Gameplay. Shuffle has many differences from Mario Party; instead of rolling dice, players draw cards to move across the board and battle enemies. Mini-games are triggered when someone lands on an event space, instead of waiting for a turn to end, although board-specific mini-games happen at random. Instead of collecting Stars, Sonic and his friends collect gems, and instead of having to buy them with currency, they win them in card battles against enemies. Instead of waiting for a select number of turns to end the game, the game ends when all seven gems are collected, and the player with the most gems when the game ends wins. This gameplay could also work with Shuffle 2. 2. Improved AI. One of Shuffle's biggest complaints is how even on the easier modes, the AI takes the players' best cards even when they already have the exact same kind. Shuffle 2's AI would be more focused on their own cards and less on their opponents, at least on the easier modes. 3. New Playable characters. Characters like Shadow the Hedgehog, Rouge the Bat, Cream the Rabbit, Blaze the Cat, and Silver the Hedgehog would be added to Shuffle 2. Like the characters in Shuffle, they could each have their own unique special movement and battle abilities. For example, Shadow could have Chaos Control as his special movement ability and Chaos Blast as his special battle ability. 4. Elements More in Line With the Sonic Franchise. While Shuffle 2's gameplay would remain the same as Shuffle's, Shuffle 2's elements would be more in line with the Sonic franchise. Instead of the seven Precioustones, the seven gems Sonic and his friends collect would be the seven Chaos Emeralds, instead of the Precioustone monsters, the enemies that Sonic and his friends battle would be Dr. Eggman's robots, and the boards would be actual stages featured in the Sonic games, such as Green Hill, Chemical Plant, and Casino Night. 5. A Solo Mode. This mode would have one player race against three of Dr. Eggman's robots for the Chaos Emerald. The player can also choose another character to assist them in 2 vs. 2 mini-games.

I think some background music could help the video. It feels a little creepy without any.

Well, I don't know where to find music that won't be stricken with copyright that can last over an hour. If it really bugs you, try putting on some background music.
