The thing about Cockers is that they really don't know the meaning of "work". It's all play to them. They're happy to follow scent and flush and retrieve enthusiastically as long as you're happy and gentle with them and keep things interesting for them. And it's not hard to stay happy when they're around with their constantly wagging tails.

what do you mean the do not understand the word 'work'??my two year old eng spaniel has been trained from the scratch to fetching objects for me. you just need patience,gentleness and to know that they are pretty stubborn when they want

My cockerspaniel puppy dose not listen AT ALL. He pee's all over the house, and i get that he is a ouppy and they will do that but i had 3dogs before him and NONE of them were as bad as him. He bites and he wont listen to a single thing you say. He is 6months and weve had him since he was 1month old. WHAT IS WRONG!!! He refuses to listen at all. He dose what he wants when he wants. We tried EVERYTHING but he just wont listen! Please please please HELP!
