I'm glad Poppy's Spit made it, super slipknot sounding more than their last two albums, but I'm surprised Unholy Confessions didn't make it on the playlist. The breakdown at the end, especially when they slow it down live, is amazing

The day I discovered Scowl was the day I realized that metalcore itself is not a genre, but it's a plethora of dozens of subgeneres combined into one category. I honestly love how so many bands can take other genres, throw screams and heavy riffs in, and totally make it their own and something new. To me, Scowl does that in their entire cassette (yes, cassette). Highly recommend looking more into them if you're interested.
