Btw, when pulling a pack, it’s been proven that it doesn’t matter which pack you pick, you will get the generated Pokémon for all packs available. In other words, no, each pack in the carousel is not a different set of cards, all cards you get are already generated when you hit open pack.

Really? I thought each pack had different cards.
@joelmartinez289612 күн бұрын
@ I thought so too. But there’s a KZbinr that debunked that. They used the coding for the game as reference and as soon as you click open pack, it already has your cards picked for you. The carousel is more of an animation thing because it’s already picked for you

3:25 When I used to work retail, we kept Pokémon and other trading cards in a locked display case. An employee had to take the cards from the case too the register. Retail is soul crushing, but one thing I always did enjoy was fanning out all the card packs and asking the kid (or sometimes adult) to choose the packs they wanted, rather than just grabbing the first one and saying "here's your pack." It was never store policy, but that's the only way you can do it. That, and it prevents the customer from coming back and saying "YOU GAVE ME THE PACK WITH THE JUNK CARDS!" Nope, you picked the pack, and that's how it should be! :)

Completely agree! Lately I've been playing MTG and kind of got sucked into the whole meta deck thing (pretty much since I started playing it), but some of my favorite TCG memories are still with that betaed Japanese game I played for 2 weeks that didn't have any influencers talking about it, any tier lists or deck lists, and it was all just about finding your own decks. Man, it was just so exciting and addictive trying to test and find out the best decks and your favorite cards along with everyone else, and the sheer satisfaction of jumping up the ranks once I found an amazing deck to play with. Nothing really compares to that nowadays (at least that I could find). It still saddens me that they ended up making that game Japanese-only after the beta period 😢 But yeah, so I'm absolutely planning on doing some basic research on what the best cards to reroll for are, and then just making my own decks and exploring my favorite cards. At least for the first few weeks before I get sucked into meta decks again lol

43:12 Fun fact about the pokeball card, since it works by searching through your deck, it will also shuffle the deck after it's played. This is different from the professor since he will draw from the top of the deck so there's no need to shuffle. If you have a way of looking at your next card(s) like porygon or the pokedex item, you can use a pokeball card to reroll your next cards before you play a professor card if they're bad.

While it is true that you can never know for certain which of the 5 cards you get form any given wonderpick, a 20% chance to obtain that really rare card is the best shot you get aside from spending pack points. the chance to pull a 2 Diamonds card from Genetic Apex is 2.571%, while the pullrates of the 1-3 Stars to Crown rares range from 0.321% to 0.013. Compair that to the 20% in the Wonderpick, where you know you have a shot for the specific card every time and it becomes clear that it is always worth trying for the 3 cost picks aside from maybe the occasional 1 cost just to not lose out on the resource when it is all filled up.
