i’ve been going through some really tough times recently - including but not limited to a serious breakup, and death in my close family. through everything, ive been lifting heavy, intense, and consistent, as well as improving my hydration and diet. its been about four months of lifting practically every night with sams daily video playing on my tv. i dont even listen to music; i just lift “with sam” in a way. so much of sams advice, mindset, and lifting philosophy has really resonated with me and pushed me to new heights in my lifting. thanks so much to sam, this channel, and the entire gym community for being such great lifting buddies!

@@jameshorton5395i havent watched him in months but just watched a new one from this week and he is lifting 1000x smarter. A lot more mind muscle connection and control. He doesnt tell people to ego lift
@GigaNietzsche5 ай бұрын
@@jameshorton5395I would hardly call what he does ego lifting. He's hitting it with high intensity and pushing himself on the weight WHILE having good enough form to hit the tendons in all the right areas. I’ve gotten back into the gym recently and I’m trying to get my weight down a lot. And Sam’s conversation about the gym having to not be a chore and having it be something to enjoy hit hard. It’s been a chore for so long cause of highschool sports and when I graduated I stopped cause I didn’t have to work out for sports anymore. And even tho I’m taking it seriously it’s a highlight of my day and finding it enjoyable has helped a lot over the last few months.

I used to never go to the gym, but rather just go for intense hikes as cardio. I went from nothing to full-body every other day to split groups six times a week and Sam is definitely one of the top inspirations, for sure. I pretty much try everything and more while learning some faves like the X-pulls or whatever on the cables as well as self-assisted rep variants such as those on the individual curls. It's true about the diminishing returns because I have just been blasting through the soil. I feel so much better, I'm starting to look it, and I've been enjoying all the benefits, though I admittedly most enjoy getting amped on pre-workout/music and that the perpetual tenderness makes relaxing feel euphoric. Anyway, looking great, yourself and the sets.

If it wasn’t for Sam I wouldn’t be lifting weights at this point in my life. Six months into lifting and I’m now pushing more weight than I would have ever expected even in my 20s (almost 40). Another mindset for muscular equalization is to go to failure on the strong side to train that muscle to its fullest. Then go to failure on the weak side using rest pause to match reps. The weak side will get more work and will eventually equal out in time.

You know Sam, I caught this about 4 hours after you posted, following your 75 day video, but after today I’m pretty set on everything you’ve put into your last two videos. I started lifting in 2019 quite seriously, but then in 2021 I fell off hard, and right now I’m still at my heaviest weight, but I have to mention I’m much fatter than I was and the muscle density is merely the place I was when I saw my first “beginner gains”. That being said, everything I know about the process you’ve pretty much hit in roughly 3 hours of content, and though you mention how some of the points you make seem redundant, it’s that daily affirmation that kind of brings it all full circle. I subscribed today whilst I was meal prepping for the week, but I appreciate your channel man, especially after having almost ignoring it for what feels like a year. Rock on brother 💪🏻 I’ll always back the fact that if only facts you’re speaking on, and as for the critics, they’ve never been where you are so there’s no volume on that junk haha. Thanks for letting us be a part of your routine man, gonna be a bad ass year 😤
