Hopefully this doesn't come off as rude and rather as constructive criticism, but a lot of the time in Q&As you talk about how creative you are and I agree, but on many of your tutorials in the past year you recreate other people's looks instead of creating your own. This isn't like "stop being a copy cat", I just want to see some of your creations instead because I love your ideas!

As long as you don't put unknown tribal paint symbols on or wear a headdress, you're good... Headdresses in Indigenous America are sacred and earned. We literally wait for the eagle feathers to fall and for the porcupine quills to drop. We do not pluck the animals; headdresses take time and are ceremonially blessed by elders/chiefs/medicine men. People who wear them are usually dancers or highly revered in our tribal communities. It is offensive to see them used as fashion accessories because our cultures were nearly eradicated. Come to a pow wow with me or come see my cousins dance in their regalia. Come see what it means to be smudged or see a woman's coming of age ceremony. We're not "against" you, we just want to be respected as we are expected respect you.

Hi Golden Carter, no, I don't think so. Tribal paint is not sacred until you get into symbols & meaning. For instance I'll put 3 black lines to the outside of each eye near the temples. In my tribe it symbolizes guarding what you see & not allowing everything to influence you & black means power & strength. White lines on your face in my tribe symbolizes mourning or peace. I'm sure each tribe is different, even African tribal paint means something else. Hope this helps. 🙂
