Hey Mike. What if I don’t want to go as far as Stellwagen or Jeffrey’s Ledge? Do you think there are haddock around 5 miles out? If I can save myself the extra 45min to an hour of motoring, that would be good to know to still be able to jig for haddock. I know Stellwagen has a rich biodiversity, so it’s definitely the ideal spot, but if there’s other 100-150 deep pockets around, then maybe there’s some haddock closer to land. What do you think? Thanks

There's for sure an opportunity to target haddock in shallower water. Looking for muddy and active bottom will increase the likelihood of finding a stack of fish.
