Check the purple signal wire that connects to the starter. It is a wire that goes straight from a relay in the fuse block to the starter. Great video!!

Dude, you need a casting bubble for those flies on a spinning rod. The kind that you can let water in are great and really increase your casting range. You can usually get these at Walmart or any decent tackle shop.

I got a few of these for this season (hoping I got the right kind) I also got one of those tiny 2-3ft spinning rods for fishing small streams in tight quarters.

20:42 looks like a sea run brook trout! Best eating fish out of the water, I catch them often here in Newfoundland. They can get huge once they enter the ocean and go back to the streams/rivers

I enjoyed the show as usual! I usually use flies with a fast retrieve when things thaw out. I was hauling my fly as fast as possible because I didn’t care for my cast and the wake following it back to my float tube was intense and I paused and no bite. But my cast after I nailed one and then another and another stripping in my fly fast. They were usually bigger fish as well. Good fishing man!

Hey just an fyi; When the weather says it's a 30% for rain; that means that Area has a 30% area coverage of rain; not that everywhere has a 30% chance of rain; so you could be in that 30% that gets rain or the 70% that doesn't 😁
@Howwerelivingfishing
@Howwerelivingfishing 5 ай бұрын
9:39 that’s a good size for eating. Also you mentioned one of the fish felt like it had eaten gravel, I bet what you were feeling was shells from snails or some kind of molluscs. If you have a lot of crayfish in your area then maybe that.

If you don't crowd your pan your fish will be crispier. The steam from the cooking fish will moisten the breading if the pan is over crowded.

You probably know this but you should stretch out your fly line a bit to help with those coils. Like let out 40 ft of line and give it a pull for 5 minutes, especially helpful with a combo where it may have been sitting on the shelf for a while.

The starting issue could be signs ur battery is starting to die and not hold as well of a charge. Or your starter could be worn out from use over the years and or the heat from the engine can cause starter heat soak issues

The first black leech you tried has a suuuuper long tail, you may notice lots of missed takes from fish because they are nipping at the tail rather than the hook. If you snip it down to about the length of the rest of the fly you should have some better results 🙌
@hgflies

For reference, 1 inch hook should have a 1 inch tail coming off the back so on so forth

What for reel are you using? I haven’t seen any of whatever that is in my part of the woods, I’m a shimano freak myself , I also like some piscifun reels but not all of them plus I’m die hard ugly stick rods fan,was Fenwick but I don’t like what they have anymore, I also like when you use repala lures, I just wish I had access to locations that you have where’s there’s nobody around, I’m in Pennsylvania and fish Penns Creek and there’s always people fishing or if I go to the lake there’s always people trolling in boats 🤷‍♂️ guess I gotta explore more or something but keep up the great content brother
