Definitely gut and rebuild that thing. I like the idea of a mini split in there fro heating/cooling, they consume less power and cool better than those conventional A/C units they use in most RVs. the whole trailer has so much potential. There are places that sell vintage trailer refrigerators as well. ITs gonna be a sweet build, as you both do so well. Think of the hotel money you will save as you are spending to rebuild this thing. That should be proper motiviation!

Back in the early 90's I bought a 1964 Shasta camper from the original owner. I had it stored at my brother's house. I asked one of my brother's to widen the door so my wheel chair could fit through the door way. Big mistake on my part. It got blown apart and never got put together right. Knowing now what I had back then I knew those vintage camper's would be a thing. I only paid ??? and you can't even find a junky one at that price. I don't even have any pictures of it. I know back then I had to pay a fee once a year. When I sold it they change the law's to a one time fee to own a trailer. The only thing I have is a model of a 1964 Shasta trailer camper. Even the older gentleman that sold it to me. He told my brother that I was going to tare it up? The only thing I wanted was the door to be widen. And change the curtains, upholstery on the cushions. Everything else was well kept up. Oh it did need a bathroom where the closet was at

The vintage camper rally is very cool. I swear I live under a rock as I never hear about a lot of the local shows and such. And really not bad getting that camper hauled for that price as it was cheaper than the headaches. 😂. Also , ya gotta watch out for those mirrors Corey. I recently did the same thing and spooked myself. 😂Keep up the good stuff!

Something similar happened to me back in 21. My 18 jayco jayflight wheel bearing seized up along 75 at exit 25 east and I lost a wheel dragging somewhere to get it fixed. Cause we couldn't find anyone to tow it, but it Ky state trooper followed us all the way into Barbourville Ky. He was a good ol fellow. And it stinks being that far away from home (Bedford Indiana)

Uh oh ! What have yal done ? lol . I take back the lol . As for the camper rally, WOW ! Most of the campers you guys took us through were out of this world sexy ! Now I want to sell all my Gen 9 Ford trucks but one or two and start the hunt for an old camper to rebuild into a Glamper ! I didn't see a single one that I didn't like . It's probably sold already but a few weeks back there was a I believe 70s Airstream on Market Place at what I think was a very reasonable price. I will have to look back in my long ass list of saved goodies . If you guys think you are interested let me know how to send it, and if it's not gone I will try and get the info to yens . I've sent a few things to both of you guys but it's never shown me yal looked at it, so I did give up . Glad no harm came to anyone with the rotten hub and everything turned out safe . You two pull off some of my favorite old trucks. You at one time had a couple I would have really liked to talk you out of . One was the 58 59 Dodge yal picked up here in Tennessee. I actually worked at Beech Mold and Tool in New Albany many years ago and loved the Georgetown area and loved fishing Patoka Lake ! I really miss the good friends I made in Southern Indy ..

Love the vintage camoers more now! Putting a floor aint bad. Depends how its framed as far as the underneath of the floor..obviously want it water proof. If its jist a frame do sheets of steel or aluminum..and then like 3/4 plywood and whatever else in top.
